The first one was a fake to Philly from a fake gord miller acct, supposedly sun sports the Calgary newspaper said Hemsky's locker was cleared out, didn't say to which team he was going though. That one seemed legit, guess not,

rick nash's value was a lot higher than yakupov's when he was traded because nash was already proven and a leader and went through the process. obviously, his value sunk dramatically because of his NTC and he was only willing to go to a few teams.

but reports are that the rangers might be the only team in the entire league wanting to trade for yakupov. nobody else wants this kid, so similar to columbus, NY is the only trading partner. this eliminates a bidding war.

with that said, you are right that they don't have to trade him. and like i said, if they decide not to lower their demands, whatever they might be, the rangers will stay clear and get a different rental like matt moulson and move on without yakupov. we're not desperate to make a blockbuster deal to acquire yakupov. we're winning games, scoring goals, and all this without rick nash.

basically what i'm saying is that if a deal between the 2 teams happens, we won't get fleeced because sather isn't an idiot and realizes he doesn't need to be. if EDM trades yakupov to us, it will be for a fair deal or even a deal that's seen as a slight "steal" for NY. sather isn't going to get robbed here for this kid.

EDM can go ahead and suck it up again this year and get another top 3 pick and continue to "build" but seriously...they have to draw the line somewhere and say enough is enough with these lottery picks.
