Was at the Eagles concert in the Garden last night. Caught the 12:34 to Dover after the show and did not get home until almost 3AM. (They were great!)

Gonna head back to the Garden tonight for the game and hope I can catch the 10:11 after the game (no OT and/or shoot-out please) and be home a little after midnight.

There is time for a nap now before I run to catch the 4:05 today that gets me into Penn Station at 5:41. Will take another nap on the train both to there and on the way home. At least both ways, Penn Station and Dover are the last stops so if I am sleeping they wake me up and kick me off!!!

Then its back at it Tuesday night for the Devils....but I will be back to my old schedule and getting a car ride back to train station. Lot faster and more comfortable.

Thursday night against the Rangers, Marian Gaborik had one assist, played 17:27 and had one shot on goal and one shot that was blocked by Mats Zuccarello.

Gaborik has five goals in 15 games this season but hasn’t scored a goal in his last six games. Gaborik hasn’t had more than 4 shots in a game since October 15th and only has six shots on goal in his last four games.

In the Columbus Dispatch, Michael Arace writes that Gaborik hasn’t turned on the Jets this season and “shudders” at the thought of young player Cam Atkinson learning to play like him.

Arace writes “Will anyone tell Gaborik to get his butt in gear, the way John Tortorella used to?”

7pm means 1pm NZ time! Love it. Watching hockey during the day is perfect... Apart from Game Center not being able to figure out NZ is a day ahead so the dates are messed up.

I'd like to see a haley/boyle/dorsett 4th line . . . See how it works out but I don't have a problem with mash. I think he's playing cautious because he's afraid a dumb penalty will cost him his spot as the 4th/5th man on the 4th line

I'm not sure how fair that is honestly. Gaborik was the first guy on the ice for practice Friday and often spends extra time afterwards. No, he isn't producing and he isn't engaged enough for my liking but he was the same way in NYC. When he was going he was really good. When he was struggling he played the same way he is now. It isn't as if Torts had him playing hard and producing every single game.

He only gets a handful of shifts per game. It's kind of hard to do much to stand out in such limited ice time.
