Here's my take:
1. Hit is good, clean. Move on Already!!! I'm so sick of this crap. I'm all for hitting and fighting as long as it's legal.
2. Scott and Kaleta are done in Buffalo as far as I'm concerned.
3. All for Dineen and Ramsey to Buffalo. They need a shake up to right the ship.
4. Eberle a good fit for Buff. At this point the team is so piss poor, I'd trade anyone within reason to get him. |

So, my good man Tim Panaccio tweeted earlier today that the Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers have discussed the availability of center Jordan Eberle. Curious in that the Flyers need an extreme makeover on their blue line and in their goal crease. Eberle is a #1 centerman. In Philly, captain Claude Giroux is the #1 center, with high priced UFA import Vinny Lecavalier the #2. Eberle isn't a 3rd line center. So, why would Philly be pursuing him, unless of course they are looking to trade Giroux or Lecavalier.
Nope he sure isn't. He's a winger there GARF |

Also, couple of issues here:
Eberle is NOT a center.
The Flyers D, albeit in rough shape for the long-term picture, IS NOT THE PROBLEM IN PHILLY RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!
The D are actually playing well, well enough to win. The D hasn't been perfect, but they are not even close the reason we're not winning right now. Our offense is NON-EXISTENT right now.

Miller to Philly for Giroux - RynoBull
Looking at this season right now..
1. Miller is older then Mason. (33 compared to 25)
2. Miller has a significantly worse GAA (3.09 compared to 2.37)
3. Miller has a worse Save % (.919 compared to .925)
Goaltending is not the issue for the Flyers, for once.

Good. You can keep him cause I wouldn't even entertain that if it's straight up. |

I usually don't comment on these articles, but this one is just straight up awful. Defense and goaltending are the issues in Philly right now? Really? The Flyers have scored more than 2 goals ONCE this season. Once. Yes, once. The Powerplay is hovering around 10%. They are a league worst 1.47 GPG. 14 times this season the Flyers have gone into the third period either tied or within a goal. 10 times they've lost because they couldn't score a goal. Steve Mason's numbers have been absolutely fantastic and Emery has played incredibly well in his last two starts. Giroux hasn't scored a goal in 22 games. Hartnell hasn't had an assist in 37 games. Our leading scorer has 5 goals. But yea, it's the goalie and defense that need help in Philly, not scoring. |

What in the world is going on with Giroux and the offense overall?
It defies reason. |

I like Pysyk as much as the next Sabres fan... but if you need him to close a deal for Jordan Eberle, you make that trade. The Sabres have young blueline depth. Pysyk is good, but you have to give up something to get something in return. Reminds me of when the Sabres wouldn't deal Tyler Myers for either Bobby Ryan or Ryan Getzlaf 2-3 years ago... what a mistake that was! For what it's worth, Edmonton seems interested in Tyler Ennis and possibly Drew Stafford, as well... all relative in terms of what each would cost. Sabres would have to take back Hemsky, I'm sure, as part of the deal. - djc1877
im not sure buffalo and edmonton are gonna be good trading partners this year. they have 4 forwards i am the least bit interested in and our one trading chip apparently has edmonton listed on his ntc. ennis and stafford arent going to net us much on their own, and i dont want hemsky. hemsky is a pending ufa, if it means ridding the sabres of stafford and/or ennis and then moving hemsky for picks- hey im cool with that, but i dont wanna move one stafford for another, so as long as we have no intentions of resigning him. |

Garth im sorry but you are uneducated about hockey my friend. Get your facts straight:
Eberle is not a center.
Masons Numbers:
STEVE MASON 2.37 .925
Miller 3.09 .919
I dont think our goal tending for once is a mess...

i dont think miller is a good fit for philly right now. hes a 6 month rental for a team hoping to go deep into the playoffs. dont let the numbers fool you, miller is a stud. im a little tired of his act and he looks like he lives under a bridge, but if you watch him play, he is awfully good. his numbers look bad because he has a combination of young players and disinterested vets in front of him. throw in cody hodgson playing center for 18 minutes a night and constantly forgetting to cover the other teams center in his own zone, its just not millers fault. remember those old devils teams that used to horseshoe in front of brodeur and then stevens would try to kill any opposing forward trying to get a rebound? pretty much the exact opposite of that. |
