I am (frank)ing calm.

I'll say this once, as I don't want to jinx Hall, as I really like what the kid can do. And he is a star in my keeper league.

I hope the Oilers staff aren't rushing him back or letting him have a say in his recovery.

From what I heard he partially tore his MCL, now he is skating with a knee brace. I hope that he is OK to play, and not a fully torn MCL waiting to happen.

I don't see Nashville trading one of their few forwards capable of scoring, but I do agree that Wilson and Simmonds would both be good targets for the Oilers, if available.

There's only a limited amount of time before using that 1st in 2014 as a trade chip becomes dangerous. If we wait to long, we likely can't turn it around and could give up a top 3 pick. Suck bad for Ekblad!

Maroon from the ducks would be cheaper. But he's really inconsistent.

I really think the oil need a big two way dman. As well. Maybe get one forward and make a play for byfuglien or bogo.

Yeah, I'd rather hold onto that pick. The West is too tough this year, the Pacific division is so much better than the old Northwest as well. I only have the Canucks as a wildcard team as of now, and they've even been playing well.

As crappy as it sounds, we might have to hope for Ekblad at this point. Wait for Nurse and Klefbom to truly emerge. We aren't getting that needed Dman without sending one of our 4 guys. Another option is package J Schultz and the 1st and see what that lands you. My guess is we hang on to the 1st this year and are picking in the top 5 again.

Edit: Bonino would be an interesting target.
