MDZ would be your #1 defenseman.

and no, not for yakupov straight up. but a package deal of MDZ + miller + top prospect + 1st...yes i think that's close to fair value.

- rangerdanger94

Not if Visnovsky was in the line up and I'd take Hamonic over him any day of the week. MDZ MAY be a good defenseman one day but he's not there yet. So no, he wouldn't be our #1 defenseman and even if he would be that really isn't saying all that much now is it? As far as the SECOND deal you just put there that would be more fair. Though if I were the Oilers looking for defensive help MDZ quite possibly would be the last defenseman I'd inquire about. He has been pretty awful in his own end and has been for some time now.

Funny we feel the same way

My Ranger fan friends were sitting next to me last year in the playoffs cheering every time we scored. The Pens are a real easy team to hate.

Them and also just listening to a Penguins game makes you hate them. That home broadcast team for the Pens is God awful, biggest bunch of homers in the world. I could only imagine a booth with those 2 and Chico together

I know Pens fans that even hate their announcers

Jack Edwards & the old man with the Bawston accent drive me nuts too, but yea, Pens broadcasts are brutal.

okay boys need some help, thought it was posted in one of our threads but maybe not. I need to show my boss of the picture (which may be photoshopped) of 3 flyers players in the corner in their own zone, with 2 i think it was hurricanes in front of their goalie just camped there. Does anyone know what i'm referring to?

As I said earlier, would the Oilers need to scout the Rangers for an entire week for a trade of Hensky? I doubt it, and I can't imagine why the Rangers would trade anyone for him.

None of this is surprising, we know why Gaborik was dealt - relationship- or lack thereof- with Torts being a major impetus.

They are looking hardcore at the Rangers blueline. Only thing left to determine is who, out of that group, are they scouting. Girardi, McDonagh, Staal or Del Zotto?

It goes without saying, if the Rangers give up one of those defensemen in a trade, it won't be in a Hemsky deal.

Torts thought he had a dynamic 1-2 punch with Nash and Gaborik until Gabby balked and sulked about not playing on 1st line all the time.

It just doesn't make any sense for the Rangers to want him, and it were true, Oilers would take a bucket of pucks and certainly not scout the Rangers for over a week.

Rangers don't have the cap space so if Hemsky truly is the target then Edmonton either needs to retain salary and/or take back a player. Could be they are scouting which stiff to take back.

Dubi could def be aggressive tonight, its not out of the question for him to drop the gloves too with someone...Cally? Kidding, they're great friends, but we've seen brothers (Primeau) go at it & Kocur & Probert eons ago who were besties.

No I agree with you; something is going on. I don't think it has much to do with scouting for Team Canada either. The only player on the Rangers that is playing that is on their radar is Staal. Girardi wasn't invited to the orientation camp.
