Anyone else find it amusing that the whole game, they referred to Pen's goalie as "Marc Andre Fleury", but then he lets in 4 goals and they begin to simply refer to him as "Fleury"...anybody else catch that?

You should have heard McGuire's love fest for Anaheim and for Andrew Cogliano specifically on Monday. The Rangers may have lost the game but they outshot and out-chanced Anaheim all game but 90% of McGuire's attention was on how great Anaheim was and blah, blah, blah.

i'm starting to think that the announcers on NBCSN are told to dumb it down and exaggerate things for casual hockey fans who might not know exactly what's going on. they might be told to cater to the typical dumb hockey fan or random person that put the game on tv cuz there's nothing else on.

I cringed so hard when McGuire spoke to Stepan before the game "GO OUT THERE AND HAVE SOME FUN, DERP" What a doodle.

have you noticed that no player or coach ever makes eye contact with him when he's interviewing them?

McGuire pre-game on ice interviews are even more uncomfortable than watching a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode

yeah, that was definitely the worst.

Torts hated McGuire, McGuire knew Torts hated him and Torts knew that McGuire knew that he hated him.

yea really dumb for any team to consider a 23 year old offensive defenseman that logs 20+ mins a game and has been in the league for 6 years.
- rangerdanger94

MDZ is so bad in his own end he looks like he should be on our blue line. For a player who has the ceiling that Yakupov does? Yeah, really facking stuipid. Really dumb reply. If MacT made that deal he will be shown the door soon after.

Who played better than Fleury last night. The only reason Fleury didn't play was the fear of him mentally imploding, don't fool yourself. Any monkey with half a brain in their head could figure that one out. That team looked completely out of sorts last night. There were more missed assignments in the second and third period than they probably had all season. Not to take away from you guys because the rags took it to them but to think they played a great game and you guys just played that much better is ridiculously homerish.

Yes we do, need a scorer. Ales Hemsky is a turd. But he's only guy on the Oilers that's a realistic option.
- tomburton99

I can't imagine why Oiler brass would need to scout the Rangers for an entire week to make a deal for Hemsky. If that's who the Rangers want, and I can't imagine why they would, the Oilers would have dealt him before the phone call ended.

MDZ would be your #1 defenseman.

and no, not for yakupov straight up. but a package deal of MDZ + miller + top prospect + 1st...yes i think that's close to fair value.

I think that's the line, DZ I think we all can agree has had his oppurtunity here, Miller is the one I'd want to keep but for the chance at a #1 overall it's worth it, the prospect is tough, I'd really like to hold onto Kristo, maybe Fast would interest them
