it's not just the spending, but the lack of importance they place on drafting dmen, in addition to finding the right talent and developing them in the first place. the stats in the 2nd half of the article are noteworthy and alarming.

but hey, this team doesn't have a cap problem, so what's the big deal?

If they concentrate more resources on finding and developing players at the front end of their careers, they will likely find themselves saving money in the long run.

I figured at least you'd get a kick out of that one.

3 of the last 4 episodes were pretty slow IMO. Last episode was pretty good. It's all coming together though for these last 3. But definitely a good season so far.

Really wish they didn't kill of Jimmy Darmody, he was a great character, but I cant wait for Richard Harrow to get back to business. My favorite character. Is it just me or has Nucky's gangsterness gone a bit soft. Oh and it was great to see Mueller go back to being Van Alden. It was a great moment to see him snap back to himself.

Loved watching Kelly, and listening... but got tired of her character. I am also very tired of Chalky. Very 1 dimensional character IMO.

Because it does Mcginn no good to play there. Why have him play 10 minutes a game when he can get top line minutes in the minors to get better. Look at Coots, he spent his career on the 3rd line and he isn't improving much. Young players need to play. You waste their potential on 3rd and 4th lines because those lines don't get much ice time

Right. It's a philosophy problem. They've always tried to buy their way to goodness whereas other teams actually build "teams" via careful player addition, drafting, and development.

I'm still going to root hard for my favorite hockey team. Is that a crime? If you're gonna preach to everyone how much they suck blah blah blah then why the (frank) are you watching them in thr first place?

She was Nucky's moral center, keeping him away from going full-on Tony Soprano. Now that she's not there, Nucky's kind of directionless.

I personally love Chalky and all his contradictions.

agree on all points, but i like nucky's gentler demeanor this season so far. i have no doubt he'll lay the smack down again when the plot demands it.

doesn't even really look like the chief. i think he needs more mullet.

I can't remember if he is a UFA or not, but if he is, I would be all over trying to acquire him. Mtl would be fools to lose him, and I say it's 80% certain he would stay, but if he is a UFA and wants to test the market, I'd throw the farm at him.

she just didn't add all that much for me, and i found her accent grating eventually. i love chalky's 1 dimensional design. he's got that permascowl. just makes me laugh when i watch him. he's so mad all the time.
