Do you think Edmonton would be willing to dangle Sam Gagner to pick up a D-man (Gardiner) or a goalie (Reimer)?
- GardinerExpress

Dont want to answer Mikes "questions"...but....Gagner doesnt help the Leafs enough imo...yes he would be great right now, but when Bozak/Bolland are back then what?

smith isn't very good. Smithson expected to be more reliable
- Big_Lightnin

Smith also isn't a bottom 6 guy in terms of playing style; he's a top 6 AHL guy and should probably stay there.

Smithson's going to play a safe, mostly invisible 6-8 minutes a night; take some D-zone draws and play on the PK most likely.

That's kind of all you want from your 4th line center, isn't?

No for both sides
- peddy-93

I cant really see us keeping Reimer and Bernier beyond this year...especially seeing that Reimer is an RFA and will probably want 3 million +...

I think we should try to send him to a team looking for a goalie (Edm/Phi/NYI) , and try to get a young center back. The names that stand out are Gagner, Couturier and Bailey.

I guess...That 18 wheeler warming up...JVR the one with foot on brake...
- Fruitcakenipple

Yeah...but lets be honest boys...the Leafs werent exactly "strong" at centre to begin with. Save for Bolland's responsible play and Bozak's faceoff "talents"....Im not so sure that without the two the team will be that much worse.

CENTER....or CENTRE.....wtf we trading def for def and wing for wing....be got those parts covered...
- BlowMonkey

Just to clear this up.. Ive been noticing a lot of blowhards being wrong.

CENTER: The middle of something. ie: Nazem Kadri plays CENTER for the Leafs.

CENTRE: A building. ie: The Leafs play at the Air Canada CENTRE.

It has nothing to do with which country your from or how you choose to spell it.

I'm one to believe that Reimer will eventually be traded, and getting someone like Coots back would be ideal. OR

Make a bigger package including Reimer + something and get a legit proven centre and let Bolland walk depending on our cap situation.

Would I rather have Bolland over Bozak? 100 times over, but this staff is firm on keeping Bozak, but I also believe they'll end up giving Bolland a pit of an over-pay.

They're firm on having Bozak/Kadri as 1-2, so I don't see how they trade for a centre, although its very clear they need one.

Wanna bet? As Canadians we follow the British model, not the bastardized American way of spelling.
