many of those guys mentioned like dorsett or boyle etc could absolutely help the oilers. but they would either be sweeteners behind a stud player,
or the main pieces going if it was HEMSKY moving.

as I said; yaks aint moving for anything less than a front line, star player.

The only player I would not trade is Hall, the rest are fair game.

The Oilers need to bring in some `meat and potatoes`and get rid of the `cotton candy`.

Yakupov is perhaps the worst defensive NHL player I have seen, take him. DZ, JT Miller and a pick....D O N E.

A lot of the Oilers problems can be solved with an upgrade in nets however. Dubnyk is the root of the problem and the lack of confidence the team currently has.

it's not opinion or how much you dislike someone. you maximize your assets at all times.
yakupov is a first overall, that led rooks in goals and points and has the potential to be a pereniall 30+ goal scorer. that also has a very real chance of blossoming into that in a different system asap.
this equals value.

Totally disagree. #1 overall players still on their ELC are virtually unheard of. The Oil suck and Yaks has been bounced around every line they've had. He's had a poor start to a season not even a quarter completed yet. What you see now is not the player he can become and I think most if not all GMs understand that.

gm's arent as fickle as fans.

"ovie's been terrible for month or two. he's done, lets deal him".

This is what i dont get. People say Yak is awful at things, then want him traded for a hefty return.

Yak is young and good, but is a luxury at the moment. That is why he would bring a good return not because he is the "Worst player in the NHL on D"
