The Oulers are looking for grinders that can score a bit, provide some space, etc and a top pair D .
Any trade involving Yak will be for a Defenceman which is where the Rangers are a target.
The grinders will be on the cheap or at least cheaper than Yak.
Lots of UFA goalies, so if we go after one, it will be for plugs, mid round picks and prospects.

What about trading one o the young guns for a top tier defenseman. I know not many are available. Bufyglian could be an option? I know he has a limited NTC, and heard he wasn't thrilled to be playing in winnipeg, so edmonton could be a similar situation.

MDZ is not a peice Edmonton would want at all. McDonagh is pretty close to untouchable in NY.

I assume that's edms main target.

I really don't see any realistic scenario (barring some massive blockbuster that blows up the team) where mact trades hall or the nuge, so it'd most likely be one of the two rw's in ebs or yaks.

byfuglien, bogosian, staal, mcdonagh, Coburn, ehrhoff etc. etc.would all be targets depending on the package.
