Domi was dirty... but at least he could play hockey.

He's also irrelevant to this discussion, but I guess you know you don't have a point, so you gotta go with the irrelevant stuff.

Again, Orr and McLaren can actually take shifts in hockey games without being liabilities. They can play NHL hockey, and they get to play because of it.

Outside of a stint recovering from a near career-ending injury, Orr hasn't played in the AHL since he broke into the league.

Cam Janssen on the other hand has never played a full season, because his teams don't trust him to play regular shifts.

This kind of crap:

Is the reason he doesn't belong in the NHL. He can't skate, and he can barely fight. His role isn't to defend his teammates, it's to try and take somebody's head off.

You're (frank)ing delusional, trying to convince yourself of your own bullpoop. They both get 3-5 mins TOI but they're NHl'ers? GTFO.

McLaren & Orr = Janssen. Get over your one playoff berth you tool.

Oh, i forgot, you're a Queefs fan and all Queefs are Saints, everyone else is a mindless goon.

Got it, my bad.

Janssen has been suspended 8 games his entire career, Orr 5. Yes Janssen sucks balls at playing the sport, but Orr is marginally better. Don't act like theyre not out there for the same reasons. Cam was just saying whats on the mind of almost every enforcer when they take the ice.

You're clueless dude. You're coach plays them every game not because they can take a normal shift. You think that because he plays them they all of a sudden belong.

Because I'm a Queefs fan.

This invalidates the facts.

[quote=Feeling Glucky?]Clarkson adds size, leadership and net presence to the top-6, and has played pretty well defensively as well. Not there in an enforcer role.

Clarkson does not belong anywhere near the top 6. Glorified 3rd liner at best!

Sorry what fact did you provide to show us how Orr is so much better and can take a shift and isn't a liability? Other then because you say so you have nothing.

Prediction: Cam scores the game winner tomorrow night with a deflection off his head from a Gelinas slapshot.

The Leafs fans come here because they want to see what a CUP winning organization looks like. They're not a real franchise as they could only win a Cup when there were 6 teams. With 30 teams they have no chance!

I'm not even the one who brought up Orr

I came in saying Janssen doesn't belong in the game, showed that no team has ever trusted him with a full season worth of games, and brought up a quote from him, talking about how he goes out there with the intent to injure guys, so that they'll be too afraid to play against his team.

That's whats in his head, every shift, of every game, in his own words.

So yea, those are the facts. And a bunch of you took offense to that and tried to turn it into a Leafs' discussion.

And the Leafs players you're talking about are trusted by a cup winning coach to play regular shifts, on a team that's near the top of the league- That's pretty good evidence that they're better than the AHL fodder on a basement dwelling team.

[ trusted by a cup winning coach ?

LOL! It will be his only Cup win unless he leaves the Maple Laughs and joins an organization that knows how to win with more the 6 teams in the league!

So because he has won a cup as a coach means he never makes the wrong decision? Also I could care less what you think of our team as we have been a play off contender for practically 20 years while it's taken the Leafs 8 years to have any relevance in this league besides being one of the worst. We where bound to suck eventually it is the way of the NHL to sit here and chirp the Devils when the Leafs haven't been to the finals in how long ? I am sure you guys are only a few years away from that long awaited cup but until then don't chirp a team that's results in the last 20 years far exceed those of the team you cheer for so run along now and enjoy the fact that for the next five years you will have a team worth talking about until they are back out of the picture again.

Orr's the only enforcer who's played all the games this year, and he an MacLaren are there to keep goons from taking runs at star players... they don't tend to go for the dangerous hits, and can actually be relied on to play shifts during the game. Not offensive stars by any means, but they're not liabilities on the ice, and can fore-check pretty well.

Janssen is a plug. My argument was never that he should be in the league. My argument was that Orr and McLaren are no better or a hair better at playing the sport of hockey then Janssen is. Then you threw a stone at our roster and our place in the standings. If you weren't ashamed to cheer for one of the pooptiest teams of the last ten years why would I be ashamed that after 20 great years my team finally sucks ? Not going to happen. I am glad you have something to cheer about now but don't talk bad about a franchise that has accomplished more in the 30 team National Hockey League then the Leafs.

No one thinks Cam Janssen is a great player. But to throw Orr and McLaren out as superior players illustrates how you're nothing but a homer.

Isn't there a Queefs blog for you to go spew how great Orr & McLaren are?

Take off the jerseys & they're the same (frank)ing useless player. Your Cup winning coach plays them because they were already on his roster. And he plays them an amazing 3-5 mins a night. Woop-dee-doo!!

The whole reason Cam was called up is because your team (along with Philly) has multiple goons on your teams. But, yes. Let's focus on Janssen. Let's only focus on one side of the equation. No one in Toronto or Philly would EVER take liberties with another player. Duh. How obvious.

You're right. We're being naive. It's obvious Lou called him up to break Kessel's legs with a low hip check. And break Giroux's hands with a viscious slash.

Hey, I'm not the one who brought up team success, just responding to everything you guys are throwing at me/

At least what I said had some relevance to the discussion.
