Imagine if Bourque and Pacioretty were playing like Gallagher...

6'2+ you can coast, 5'8 you have to go balls to the walls or you're in the ECHL (Desharnais exempted of course)

I thought outside of Lehner, Markov was the best guy on the ice. Last night showed that even at his age Markov would leave a massive hole in the Habs lineup.

They want Beaulieu to learn, they should have him up playing with this guy. Maybe not as a pairing but at least on the bench

Or, the Habs can buy NHL Center Ice for him.

this is what it's come to with him. sad. more involved yes but generated nothing. not sure if you saw it on your feed, but the cameras kept panning to Marc Bergevin upstairs and he looked bewildered.

to me, Ottawa's defence was the game. mentioned it last night but that game was exactly how the series went last May. Montreal carrying play, Ottawa playing with no initiative, but the Senator's defence just boxing Montreal out and keeping every chance to one-and-done. Lehner was great. but there were no second chances. AND he was fighting the puck alot. he was putting the puck into high-percentage areas all night but the Habs couldn't or wouldn't get to it. i thought for sure they would adjust their game after recognizing this early on but they stuck to their perimeter stuff.
