The team was awful as a whole.
If anything, like Jacques Martin, he had this team overachieve in a major way.

Just like Maclean did with the Sens last season.

i was never crazy about Carbo as a coach. team really never had any structure. i liked Martin TBH. the team was always organized under him and achieved more than their talent suggested they should. his 2 year run as coach was the most successful 2 year stint the team had since 93-94. his style was boring as poop but i don't mind boring if it wins.

Agree, Anderson was amazing, but the team was playing better than it is this year.

glad to get away from those West teams for now. result last night really wasn't the worst thing. but winnable division road games need to be taken advantage of.

well the problem is

A) Prust is injured
B) Moen is injured (and complain all you want about him, but as a 4th liner whose job is not to (frank) up, he's fine)
C) Ryan White is officially useless

so when you combine that 4th line with the bottom D pairing... yikes. although why they are out there together is a bit of a mystery.

- scotch_tape

Disagree. He's stepped it up. Just a bit better than useless IMO.

Listen guys, I'm going to send out the guy with some of the worst shootout stats in the history of the shootout era, to take a penalty shot, over two other guys that have at least as good, more likely a better chance of scoring this crucial goal. When we get to the shootout though, he won't be one of the three I select, because....

HE SUCKS AT SHOOTOUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus (frank)ing Christ what a stupid move.

- hscesq

He didn't have a choice, rule book says whoever last had possesion before the net was knocked off has to take the shot.

Theres this habs Vloger i watch every week that defended Therrien on how he uses PK , he ls funny and made a few good points but i really dont see how he can defend him still. Therrien is being Stubborn. I dont know what he is trying to prove but its ridiculous. i feel like he just wants to do the opposite that everyone is telling him to do so he can shove a ''told you so'' in our face.
He took way to long to sit DD and once he did he called up the wrong player. St-pierre was more than useless.
And why was Paciorretty picked for Shootout this guy has an amazing shot but i dont think ive ever seen him Deeke a goalie out. Eller should of Took it put some confidence back in him too.
and Subban Thrives under pressure. put him in last minutes specially in a Fast Tempo Game like this one we needed Subban to skate end to end of the ice. instead in overtime i had to watch our players get stuck in Their Zone for 25 min i was so embarrassed

for those interrested in the vlog im talking about here it is http://youtu.be/NbHHE7UuU9M

You know what they say about West teams?

I live in the west, and much like everyone in west blames the east-west thing on awards and respect towards players in the west's skills, the same can be said west-east. I, living in the west, also cheer for a team in the west, meaning I pay more attention to the teams in the west's games.

Not according to Dreger who pointed out it had to be Pleks and quoted the rule book after the third on TSN...

Oh I don't disagree. It just seems incongruous with the culture here. See: Kovalev vs. Koivu.

Yeah well the RDS guys said he could choose anyone on the ice. Which MT confirmed in his press conference afterwards.
