I'm actually indifferent to the coaching or Murray etc.. I would like to see at least one of the young guys up and playing. I don't think the PK thing is a big deal, it was 1 game against a very good team and they still came away with a pt so not a lot to chew about. Just tired of seeing GMs sign guys that just barely keep the team afloat at the expense of young guys getting some time. - Pie
I agree for the most part. If this were to happen continually to Subban, it would be a bigger deal. And you're right that the "staying afloat" approach is way too common in Montreal. Seeing Galchenyuk back at the wing after one game doesn't even bother you a bit? |

I have no idea, but it's pretty funny. |

Mitch Melnick rightly noted before the Blues game that it would base Gelchenyuk's work as a centreman on how he fared that night against a team that's so clearly superior to us (not to mention 27 other teams). It seems (surprise) a little reactive of MT to move him back to quickly, though it probably has more to do with making room for DD to play centre with Pacioretty than anything. |

I wouldn't be surprised that he is playing C regularly by the end of the season. |

Therrien's hands are little tied with Murray. What are they going to do, bench him after signing him for a year... doesn't look too good for the organization. I think it would serve Tinordi or Beaulieu better to get some NHL time. At the same time, playing 30 minutes/game in the AHL isn't the end of the world either. As long as they stop the yo-yo-ing with them and leave in one place, it should be alright.
I'm far more worried about the way he's treated some of the supposed "core" players that are with the team right now. None of us can know what was said behind closed doors, but some things that are happening don't seem too in line with the attitude they were supposed to instill last season. The PK story is an issue(even if it is very exaggerated by the media). And giving Galchenyuk ONE game at center does not make a whole lot of sense to me. - kev1586
Not overly concerned with Murray situation. He was brought in to hit, clear the front of the net and block shots, nothing more. He should be fine for 12-15mins once he gets a few more games under his belt. Emelin will be back there soon enough.
Faceoffs are likely the biggest concern with Galchenyuk at center at this point but until he gets to play there on a regular basis this is a hard one to fix. |

Glachenyuk will practice faceoffs...he can improve that part of his game in practice. He will be a centre next year IMO |

A lot of young centermen start their pro career at wing.
Tyler Seguin is an example. |

No doubt but I think he becomes a regular center before the end of this season. |

Galchenyuk will be fine but he does need to start potting some of those opportunities...on a better note
Senators need another top 4 Dman.
I really like Spezza off of the top line and drawing in for power play minutes.
Montreal is a very short fuse away from a full scale riot. Therrien is public enemy #1 on talk radio as people choose sides in the Subban wars. I think Therrien is simply covering for some of his players who are fed up with PK.
If you are bored listen to TSN 690. These are serious fans and they are doing some really huge howling over the use of Subban.
I believe Montreal will deal him. This public fighting seems more by design than accident.

Not sure about this one. I more inclined to think it's MT letting him know who's boss. |
