in all fairness though, it could be that Subban is sometimes a defensive liability and he's afraid to have him on the ice in a tight game. The habs don't have the firepower to come back from deficits all that often.

I don't think Subban is as much a defensive liability when he knows what he has to do... he might be a liability in the middle of the game when he feels he needs (or can) take a chance...but with a 1 goal lead and only a few minutes remaining, I doubt he'd try to deke out the 5-man unit on the other side...I'd like to think he would know what to do...

I've said this exact same thing twice this week. Not only would I be done with the Habs, I promise I'd become either a Bruins or Leafs fan.

Wow...some pretty harsh words...

EDIT: would you play the role fully an become an utter idiot as well???

well then isn't the idea to improve his play in those situations? i don't think the best way to do that is by saying "sit on your ass, and watch how beautifully Rafael Diaz and Francis Bouillon handle this... oh crap... that goal was your fault by the way"

But that's just it. It's not in all fairness. Subban's supposed defensive shortcomings have been blown completely out of proportion because of that Bloated Blonde Bag Of poop's handling of the situation. He's a (frank)ING NORRIS TROPHY WINNER. Would Bylsma sit Letang in that situation? Because I promise you he's got a (frank) ton more defensive shortcomings than PK.

I'm not saying it's the right way, just saying maybe Therrien has what he thinks is a legit reason to keep him on the bench and it's not just "moé j'aim pas Subban"

Oh I'm sure HE thinks it's a totally legit reason, which only substantiates the argument that he's not qualified to coach the Montreal Canadiens.

i understand the logic. i do believe the most effective way to improve is by letting a guy play in those situations. same with Tinordi. they had him on such a short leash coming into this season. come on. be a little proactive with these guys and let them grow by playing, not by being punished.

You'd be much more tolerable if you did. Or you could become the Panthers' only fan...

I was traded there once, but I came back as a UFA the next day.

LOL...the only guy who can't coach the U17 team to a gold medal!!! LOL...

Honnestly, I think DT and his soccer coaching experience could take our U17 team to a gold medal...and Carbo finished in like 5th or 6th place!

If nothing else, I'd can MT today and take my chances with Carbo for the rest of the year.
