I seriously can't wait for Hagg, Morin, Ghost and the boys to take over the defensive roles on this team. CANT WAIT.
- justahockeyguy2

I hope they do. I doubt any of them make it to the NHL with the Flyers.

You are probably talking 5 years. You're going to have to wait and that's only if they all pan out. There's no Seth Jones in the bunch who will be ready to play big minutes next year even if everything breaks right for the player.

I think they will. Now that Hexy is back I think he is slowly going to take over the team. I think by bringing him in he will grow the players and keep Homer from making those fire wagon deals.

Agreed, I think Hagg might have been the most NHL ready out of the group, but with him going back to Modo and having consistency issues.. that is going to delay him quite a bit

it also doesn't help that the officials just keep screwing us. missed the hand pass at the blue line that turned into anaheim's 3rd goal, missed the two most obvious interference calls last night in addition to the guy trying to cut timonen's head off at the end of the 3rd period.
just like marshy still hates the oilers crest, there are plenty that continue to hate the flyers from the 1970's team's antics

I think its time to stop making luke scheen the scapegoat and realize that he is not the problem on the back line. Not one of the d man shouldnt be benched for one reason or another but Mark Streit for 5.25mil should have a seat next he is horrible in the defensive zone and has done nothing to help in the offensive zone either.

i thought streit made some excellent plays last night before the final one. i agree that it is a team-wide issue and no one player should be pilloried for what is going on

I have to watch the games on the national network as I am out of the area for now...but against every grain in my body I had to agree with Mike Milbury last night when after the game he said this was, in his 40 years of hockey, one of the top 5 worst professional games he ever saw...he called out every star player on both teams for being invisible and playing heartless...I hate Mike M, and want to slap him as soon as I see is mouth start to open...but he was exactly right...these were clearly two bottom feeders playng last night, with NJ right in the mix...

I honestly want to take my tv and just throw it out the window. This team makes me so mad and frustrated that I just shake my head at every play they make(attempt to make). Mike milbury said it best this was top 5 one of the worst games ever televised two bad teams and the worst team lost.

What really struck me last night was the complete lack of offensive anything. They arent close to scoring. Its not like they are getting bad luck. Its not like they are getting chances and just not getting a bounce.

They are generating NOTHING. It is so frustrating to watch night in and night out the futility of this team offensively.

I'm not saying any of this is Berube's fault but can you see them firing Berube if this lasts another couple of weeks?

I can't. This is on the players, and the guy who assembled them.

I'm sure that would be great for a team's confidence. Getting two coaches fired in a season.

i tuned into that feed after the game to see what those outside phila were saying. i caught his comments and am truly embarrassed for this organization. we had season seats on the glass a couple years ago (before the price doubled) and i used to be amazed at how much emotion i would experience walking down to those seats. it goes against all reason but i was actually tearing up thinking "I LOVE this team". for 40 years i've given my heart and love (and time and money) to this franchise, and to see it come to this (especially with no championships in recent memory to sooth my suffering and/or justify my investment) is just too hard to watch

But, before they made him head coach, he was the best hockey mind not head-coaching an NHL team.

This. Although I believe firing lavy in the offseason and bringing in someone for a full camp etc. would have done wonders

I hear you...I have been in the military for 20+ years and had to watch from afar...I was fortunately able to get to quite a few games in 94-98 and a game here and there over the last couple of years when I was home at the holidays, but watching this team has been soooo frustrating...

All that being said, my wife and I can't wait until we can get back the area for good as i told her my only requirement when i retire is to be a season ticket holder for the Flyers as it is the only sport that is truely better in person (unless they play like this....)

i feel for the season ticket holders that have now had two seasons of this...

If he didn't take a hometown discount, I admit I would be worried.
