getting old? how's that? it only happened last season. and then he played about 8 games since.
and it's not black and white. we either trade hall or we're fuked.
we build around him and use redundant pieces to do that.
hes not part of the problem. he's part of the solution.
we don't have another player like him. an offer we cant refuse comes along?? of course. but that aint realistic.
yaks and ebs go WAYYYY before hall.
Shirley?
you're a moron - hugefemale dog77
And you are gay, and i dont mean that in a derogatory way, it just seems as though you have some sort of sexual tension around the area of Taylor Hall. Hes a good player but hes not a franchise player. Hes the guy you add to put you over the top. Not the guy you put on the bottom of the totem pole to build up from. Hes not a leader, hes a whiner, when the team is playing bad instead of stepping up and motivating his team , he female doges and whines at them. Hes the annoying kid who no one ever liked in school who thought he was so talented and told everyone else they were bad but couldnt even do it himself.
His wreckless playing style is probably something this team could use in the future but right there is the problem, there is no future in rebuilt shoulders and knees. He has not completed a single season without an injury yet, how is this not a concern for you? Crosby is the exact same way but atleast he comes back scoring 2 goals and 2 assists every game.
We cant afford a guy who misses 20-30% of every season to be the main building piece of our team. Anyone who thinks a player that doesnt play is more valuable than a player that does, needs to get their head examined. It doesnt matter if his injuries were fluke or if hes a piece of glass, but facts are facts, for whatever reason, he is injured, ALOT, and that is BAD for the team. |

Try to blame the game on him when the other two chances that created goals don't happen because we have a better D corps and stronger two-way play. Those two Upshall goals wouldn't have happened had their been better puck support or a stronger board presence. - MaximumBone
Hemsky completely blew the second goal on a turnover and he/they did not recover. |

Blah blah blah, that tied goal was almost from the blue line,is simple Goalies need to stop shots from that distance,Dubnyk should have had that shot. |

Bad news. He will start next year poorly and be the center of ridiculous trade rumours for bad players. |

You know he won't be in the discussion for rookie of the year. He will be overlooked and brushed off. |

People need to stop mentioning Arcobello in trade scenarios, he is the David Desharnais of the Oilers...only worse. He arguably shouldn't be on the Oilers, who are currently riddled with injuries and in the basement. No NHL team would have Arco at even 5 on their depth chart...more like7th or 8th.
This experiment should be over by now. - JLO961
Geez, 2 goals, including the game winner. That'll buy him another 10 games! |

I think he played good but.... One thing I noticed is that he keeps his stick in 2 hands at all times when he could be waving it at the puck |

He does this because he is a shooter not a defensive specialist. He is always ready to get the puck but doesn't really care too much about trying to get it away from the other team. This is something that he needs to learn to be successful in the NHL. |

Your metaphor did nothing to improve your argument cause it has no basis in reality.
And he missed 5% of the games last year. Not 30.
And he led our team in scoring before he went knee on knee this year.
So a guy might take a bad hit and go down, so we should give up on on him? Couldnt the same be said about any player?
Silly logic.
Its weird that ur first thought and diss goes straight towards sex with dudes..overcompensate much?
Anyways, he wont be traded

Hey, you won't get any argument that the goal was a bad one for him to let past, but if you insist on using some bad goals as your only argument point, then you're missing the bigger picture.
No one can deny that Dubnyk lets in some pretty awful goals, but don't try to tell me that those goals are the main contributor to the team's current 4-10-2 record. More goals have been a result of bad individual plays by his teammates and a flawed system than shots he's flubbed on. That I can guarantee. |

He was taught to play a different way than most North American players. Russia and Europe teach a skilled game. Not saying all Russian or Euros are like him but many had to adjust their game when they came over to North America to play. |

Im starting to really worry its more than these things. And more than just a sophmore slump too.
Id trade him to get pieces now if it were up to me.
Unlike the nuge who experieced a soph slump as well, hes not even making any impact. Nuge had an injury, but still improved defensively, and was still one of our better players. He had a horrible shooting %, but at least was gettin chances and making plays.
Yaks just looks terrible abd confused. |

Hopefully he makes the Olympic team, a far cry right now, but I feel he could learn a lot from some more sturdy russian vets who he would obviously look up to. Even the short amount of time it would be learning from guys like Datsyuk would not only teach him a lot but humble home too.
Yakupov has struggled, Eakins says he prides himself in finding common ground with his players but has failed to do so with probably the biggest project on the team. Yak can easily be a 40 goal guy if we can turn him from liability to decent in the defensive zone. (which he has been making small steps these last few games IMO) he could be our best player. They guy that teams need to focus on while hall or gagner or Eberle or nuge swoop in.
I'm happy we got the win tonight seriously I am. But it just baffles me how you don't give yakupov a single chance near the late stages of the game. It wasn't his fault on the second goal yet when it happened he basically got stapled to the bench. When his line gets thrown out there with a minute left to shut it down he gets replaced with Boyd Gordon. In OT he isn't on either 4v3 unit? Come on he lives for that. Give him a chance.
Of we are going to get scored on and lose our late leads why not get him the chance to get the empty netter. I just feel that if Eakins put the faith in him we'd see more improvement.
Maybe I'm off by this but I'd sit yakupov down and tell him straight up I'm going to give you a real shot at proving what you can be for the team. I'll give you those late game shifts with a one goal lead. Show me we can keep that lead. If you can double it do it but give him the chance to get some confidence |

Marginally maybe. I didnt really see it, but i may have missed a few things. I just dont think he's doing anytging positive.
And if he did look better, that's also in relation to being a total liability. |

"Consistency" that's the whole thing with Dubnyk,a goal like that can really bring the team down,I'm glad they got a PP and were able to score to win the game. |
