From what I've been reading Del Zotto's risky play doesn't come with enough reward for his team. As I said and as did "way out west" sounds like he's basically been a third pairing PP specialist that needs to be sheltered with easy minutes to be effective. I don't see him suddenly or even gradually taking 2 huge steps to get to Hoff's level.

He has 8 yrs. I wouldn't call that suddenly. Ehrhoff was pretty one dimensional when he got here was well

It's getting worse and worse. My latest count, going into tonight's games:

Central - 28 games above 500
PAC - 26 games above 500
atlantic - 1 game above 500
metro - 9 games BELOW 500

- AlexF

West>>East

And the hilarious thing is that the East took 2 Western playoff teams from last year(DET, CBJ) and the West got Winnipeg.

The rangers PP is way better under AV , But thats not hard after Torts . it got worst every year under him and Sullivan . He's trying to get the dmen to jump up in the play more but don't think he has the horses to play that way . Their break out is better to . I just don't think they have the players to play AV style . Could be wrong thou , and I've been wrong plenty of times in my 59 years .

AVs biggest problem is he has such a device between his favs and guys he doesn't like. Pyatt is one of AVs boys

He was a much better puck possession player in SJ than Del Zotto currently is. If Del Zotto still doesn't show much improvement next year on a potential new team then I doubt he's ever going to come close to Hoff. Ehrhoff was a very good top 4 defensemen before he was 28/29.

Not that bad IMO. I'd say halfway in between MAB and Hoff.

As a young player, AV will casterate him for mistakes. You know Edler had and still has some of thatt
- Bieksa#3

Torts also does the same with young players that try and take short cuts . MDZ , Krieder were sent down a few time and he cut up Hags pretty good to the press . You guys seem to forget some of the young guys who came in under AV . poop now I'm defending AV !!

I could be wrong but 10th I believe. Clb is a team on the rise though

West has 5 of the last 7 cups. Both East cup wins were in 7 games

I realize how young he is, but he's played 262 regular season games at the NHL level as well so you'd think by now he'd be able to show some significant improvement or at least be pushing for top 4 minutes, not barely making the lineup and being sat out.

He's also played very little(10 games?) At the ahl level. And he has sat out of the line up very little

I just checked, they were tied for 8th with Minny, but lost the tiebreaker. Yeah, I did't buy those that are fans of Eastern teams that were saying this summer that both conferences were fairly even but I didn't think it would be this uneven early either.

At least we won't have to here that "Canucks are playing in a weak division" argument anymore.

Also prepares the team better for the playoffs IMO.

We'll just have to see then, but I say he ends up being a #4 defensemen at best, meanwhile Ehrhoff is a top 50 defensemen in the NHL for sure IMO.
