Propose this trade on our board to see if people are interested. - Orpik44
The main problem I see with Neal is that he gets injured a poop ton. Hall already gets injured enough, we don't need another case of that. |

But, if the Canucks want Mdz, its going to cost them Burrows.
Burrows for Del zotto - jbold
Strongly disagree.
Canucks are thin up front. They will not trade a Forward for a Defenseman.... unless it is Booth.
So.... Ek can name Del Zotto but be coy with the Canuck players name? |

You're kidding right? I like Edler alot but Weise is a 4th liner. That would be a major tilt in VAN favor. Throw in Burrows and a 2nd instead of Wiese and it's fairly equal. - Ranger71
They are counting on Edler for the long term, if they traded him, it would be a win for the Rngers |

Torts was probably breaking Booth’s balls, and rightfully so. Booth goes f**k you and says he can’t skate to the best of his ability. Let him recondition in the AHL until he is 100% if that’s at all possible, or until the cows come home whatever. It’s not good to have him around the team. This year’s version of Scott Gomez, Wade Redden or Tomas Kaberle.

Apparently "a prominent hockey analyst," is one of the buyers from Rob Ford's dealer
Chris Doucette
@SunDoucette
Those people include "Ford's longtime friend, people on his staff, his BROTHER (and) a prominent hockey analyst," Gawker claimed. #TOpoli |

MDZ+Stepan+1st for Weise+Edler. Both teams win. NY takes this and runs, but I'm not sure Gillis can be swindled again. - I-own_da-Northwest

If Yak is being traded to NYR, I'd want to see Mcdonough plus a forward come back, maybe Pyatt. |

this is the dream scenario of course, but mcdonagh is young and their best guy. yaks doesnt get u mcdonagh even straight up.
with the chance of staal leaving, I cant see a scenario where they let mcdonagh go.
if I felt like I had a shot at resigning staal, id chase a deal with yaks ++ for staal and kreider |

Calgary has $18,275,000 invested in defence spread out across 8 players (excluding Breen). That's only, roughly, 35% of their entire roster spending invested in Defence. Not only that, but 51% of the defensive spending is on two players: Wideman at $5,250,000 and Giordano at $4,020,000. Of the remaining 49% of defensive spending there is only two other players above $2million (Brodie at $2.125 mill and SOB at $2 mill), Russel and Butler are at $1.5 and $1.7 respectively, and the other two are under $1 mill.
I brought this up last time you said something like this EK and i'll bring it up again. A) do some research before posting something. B) Nobody says Calgary has either an experienced or a well paid defence, except you. And c) you need to stop sharing Rob Ford's crack.
Calgary is in no position to move a roster d-man because Giordano is on IR. They have an abundance of forwards that could be used in a trade but definitely not d men. |

Need some fantasy help here;
I have 4 goalies, Rask, Harding, Mason, and Nabby. Looking to drop either Nabby or Mason, Nabby allows a poop ton of goals but puts up the 5-4 Ws Mason is putting up great SV% numbers but is not winning, which should I drop?
Fantasy is so hard sometimes |

Not only is Wideman untradeable, but there is no way in hell we'd trade for that contract after not signing him for less. - Blackstrom2
To be honest wideman was a bum in Washington come playoffs but even since the start of the year he has improved his defensive game ... Maybe you don't want that contract but with all the new d man contracts rumoured about I'll take widemans any day ... |
|
|

Nope.
Rangers win that deal. - Fosco
Burrows value is hard to trade ... He stays in van |

Judging by Sather's track record, he probably is looking for roster players, so that takes out picks and prospects.
I think it's more likely Edmonton will be wheeling and dealing over Vancouver, given the dire situation in Edmonton regarding defense and the fact that the entire EDM brass was at MSG. If Del Zotto truly is the target, I'd probably do Eberle for Del Zotto+, but I don't really have a reference point on his value. - TomKlassen
jesus, no.
TRUE IMPACT PLAYERS
if we're trading one of those kids, we're certainly looking for more than a 1 dimensional 2nd-3rd pairing guy.
any conversation involving eberle starts with staal, girardi or mcdonagh. if theyre a no go, then no deal to be made. |

Shero wouldn't give up Neal for Eberle straight up ever. Eberle has been one of the Oilers worst forwards so far this year. - Itsjustarash

Always looking forward to rumors around the Canucks and then finally get one and it leaves me scratching my head.
I can't see the Canucks giving up a forward for a defenseman. unless it is a rental for a rental or there is another forward in the rumor that can help the Canucks now.. no, I am still scratching my head. |

Yakpoo for Del Zotto - Fruitcakenipple
Only a Toronto GM would send a 1st rounder for a slightly better version of chris campoli.
Upside is, Shaia LeBeouf can play either in the near future CBC made-for-tv-movie, I used to be an nhl defenseman. |

sometimes I wonder if Ek even knows what players are in Calgary ....I'm beginning to wonder if he knows a single player on our team since Iginla left
asking him to figure out their salaries is next level stuff (even though it can be found on his own website) |
