So...can we talk about that Mezsaros/Ruutu thing??
- Giroux_Is_God

what how the blind men miss two of the most obvious penalties on rutuu and stall (on rinaldo, either interference or head shot) but finally put their contacts in and spot calls to give the canes a 5 on 3?

So the refs call nothing, then a 5 on 3 on us when he embellishes? Shoot me.

Look at the first few seasons of Joe Thornton, Cam Neeley, Gordie Howe, John Leclair and many others who turned out to be pretty good players. We have to show a little bit of perspective and common sense when we talk about what we expect out of these kids.
- MBFlyerfan

Did you just ask for perspective and common sense on the internet?

What next? You'll probably want something like civility.

Last year was 40something games. This year they've played, what, 13? He's played much better this year than last and most importantly.......the dude is 20 years old

I look forward to the Flyers trading Couturier, watching him blossom elsewhere so I can come on here and see everyone female dog about moving him ala JVR.

They're skating hard, and they're backchecking, and they're trying.

But wow. It's time to face facts: This team, for whatever reason, simply cannot score. I have my opinions on it, others have their own opinions, but no matter what the reason is, this roster as is currently constructed just flat-out cannot score.

I do not believe the answers are on this roster. We're going to have to go outside to get this fixed.

Your right. I can't wait to watch this team not score goals over the next 3-4 years.

If he could stay on the ice agreed, 40+ points and 25 mins a night

Guess he wasn't tough enough for some people.

- Yosimar89

What's his +/- been? Because a guy that scores 40 points while watching just as many land in his own net is like the dman version of Danny Briere.

I switched over to the Randall Cunningham special. Looks like emery's assault has sparked this team.

Hopefully the player he gets traded for is scratched and sent directly to the ECHL

It's tough for me to real judge if this defensive shutout streak is more a factor of who they played or how they are playing.

The reality of it is if not for Mason they could\would be down a minimum of 2-0. That should be a very scary thought.

Unless you are getting a legit Number 1 dman then whatever move they make should be for an influx of offensive talent.

At a certain point players being in a slump becomes the norm.

If you wouldn't trade him for Shea Weber before, then you owe it to yourself to not trade him until you know what he is.

I'm an impatient as anyone, and I want to win. I don't mind trading anyone, in theory. But they made the call to not trade him before, and he's still just 20 years old.

Trading him now, for less value, only to let someone else develop him without the pressure...that's pretty low on my list of "Things the Flyers Should Be Doing."

I'd be on board for this.

Flyers also need to get faster on D. They are sluggish.

It's who they have played, for the most part...NJ & Carolina are lower scoring teams...but both Emery and Mason have had to make tough stops over the last 5 periods of hockey

I haven't even skated in 3 years but give me 13 games and you'd think I'd score a goal by accident at the very least.

It seems we have problems finishing. When we had serious skating problems, Berube had a few very skating intensive practices. Could a few, very shooting-oriented practices help us regain our finishing touch?
