Justin Peters is 0-5 with a 3.86 gaa? why am I fearing a shutout
- nastyflyergirl

I'm strangely optimistic about this game...

4-1 flyers win.

Politics do not belong here, this is a hockey thread and as stated we are asked to keep them on topic. If people fail to do so I will remove them and if needed issue a ban.

Nevermind, saw that it was edited. My bad.

I don't get the trade Schenn calls. He was one of a small few good things from last year. No doubt he is having a rough start and the healthy scratch is a good call. He is one of many guys on this team that are having a rough go of it. Kimmo hasn't exactly been lights out either.

SO is it McGinn or Rosehill, it better be McGinn. What does Rosehill bring to this lineup? Hell I'd stick Hartnell on the 4th line and let McGinn take his place.

I agree. Hartnell's not doing the things he needs to do to score points, and that's been the case for quite awhile.

Its pretty poopty, but I still stand by the idea that he has been in decline ever since his divorce.

I think we should spank him.

He had the best season of his career after the divorce.

It was rumor started by Ek. Unless Berube just absolutely hates the guy I don't think they'll trade him unless they get an absolute steal of an offer.

I think it's the new contract. He signed it after the big season in 2011-12, and since then he's had 11 points in 41 games.

I like what Berube has done here to make a point. Play poorly and don't come into camp ready to play you will sit. There is no way to sit Fraud Giroux, but if he could he should. If Hartnell keeps this poor play up, I sit him.

I agree, Hartnell's no defensive forward. If he isn't scoring points than he should be benched and replaced with someone who can or someone who's more responsible in their own end.

I just wish that Berube was a bit more...even handed. Timonen has sucked. Grossmann's had games where he was awful. Neither of them has sat. Rosehill and Rinaldo have each had games with moronic penalties that hurt the team & Meszaros gets scratched 5 games for a blow up at the end of a loss.

Its no secret I havent been a fan of his for a while. Imo he has steadily stopped doing the things over the last few years that originally made him tough to handle.

When he was on, he was gritty, had a solid net presence, initiating contact and getting under the skin of opponents. He was never overly consistent, but has been trending away from "working hard". Watch him now, he plays a different game thinking he has more skill than he really has.

Needs to get back to the basics that made him an effective player in the league.

Bill addressed this in his last podcast. Kimmo has had his minutes reduced dramatically, and has (or was) been taken off the top PP. He may not have been benched yet, but he's certainly been sent a message.

That's why I defended him early in the big season...he was going to the net and working, just not getting results...now, he's not doing anything he needs to do to be successful.

True...but Grossmann has not. Hartnell really hasn't, at least not to my eye.

I agree. I'm a big fan of Rinaldo's, but this year he hasn't brought the same energy and focus he had last year. I'd sit just about everyone on the D and let the AHL players get some action. Can that be done?

Sure...I'm not sure that there's enough AHL players ready for more than spot duty, though.
