The big 3 in EDM cost more than those Av's players who perform better has hockey players. Av's are in a better position with tons of cap.

He was scratched for lack of effort. Refusing to backcheck. He isnt quite on the OV plate yet. When you can do what OV does. Most coachs will let that slide. But when you dont beat out Hemsky for a top 6 spot. You better backcheck like your life depended on it. Now I think Eakins should also sit the other studs to for not having the effort. But its harder for that to happen in the big leagues when they get 6mil a year.

Here's one for you - get rid of the small, useless forwards & bring in guys like Simmonds & you'll soon find out how much those type of players mean to a hockey club.

I doubt O'reilly gets much more. Even if they gave him 6mil. Thats money better spent on that core. Those guys play to win. They do everything.

Eberle, Hopkins, and Hemsky have all had far less inspired efforts than Yakupoop. I think the Wings game might've been the sorriest excuse for defence I've seen from Hopkins.

Even Hall has had some terrible efforts and the dude is usually full of piss and vinegar. Perron is in the same boat.

Honestly, the only dude in the top 6 who looks willing to break ankles to win night in and out is Gagner.

Your trying to compare you 4 massively one deminsional players two the Av's players who are far superior all around players. Im not saying that Hall, Eb's and Nuge wont get better. But the Av's are in a better spot with theyre guys for less money.

He isnt gonna get offer sheeted. The Av's wanted a bridge deal. They got it with the Calg offer sheet. They now know what theyre getting. He was supposed to be a 3rd C who had a stellar year. Now he has shown he can be more. They will lock him up. Unless he doesnt want to be there.
