If they want to call up Strome, they need backup in BST. |

Sim is a little grease ball. Says one thing and does another. - bixll
I'm suprized Sim is a loser. Never thought he was any good when he was with the Islanders. I travel a lot and bump into some hockey teams during my triips. Most seem like really nice guys always ready to give an autograph and talk hockey. Funny thing when they hear I'm from NY/NJ the first thing out of their mouth is you must be a Rangers fan... |

Just watched 30 for 30: Big Shot. Well done documentary, but it had me wondering how Isles fans feel about having their team play in Brooklyn next season? In the film, the director really made it a focus how the Coliseum was the pride and joy of Long Island when built... obviously it is a giant p.o.s nowadays, but I still imagine it is upsetting to see the team play elsewhere.
I like the Vanek trade for you guys and seem to be in the minority when I say he re-signs there. |

He was signed as a veteran presence for a young Bridgeport squad. He has 12x more NHL games then all Bridgeport players COMBINED. No joke. |

No, I defended him in the past. I am a good friend with his Dad. I had a little run in with Sim last year, and he showed his true colours. I defend him to no one any more, he is on his own. Feel sorry for his wife and kids. Marla is a lovely lady. - bixll
what will he ever do?!? |

i think most people understand and are happy with the move both from a team standpoint and a money making standpoint especially considering the other options were several 100s of miles away
as for the 30 for 30...it really was VERY interesting and well done by kevin connolly.
and i too believe vanek will resign here after playing virtually an entire year with tavares. |

See both sides of it. Had to be done but only because the politics on Long Island are so horrible they let it happen. Wang tried for 10 years to get new arena and project done |

If it's true that he could have moved the team to Canada or beyond, then good for him and Islanders fans.
Was shocking to see that footage of water pouring from the ceiling inside Nassau Coliseum. I take it, repairs were eventually made and fans no longer had to bring umbrellas with them? |

In his first two games with the Checkers, both losses, he allowed nine goals for a 4.53 goals-against average and .875 save percentage.

NHL live saying the Leafs are in the market for a forward. What would it take to get Gardiner or Franson? |

TY. needed one. i dont disagree he no business being our top dman in minutes every night.
Saturday night was our best defensive by our team period. Not just Amac. - Spartiarti
AMac is a great D-men, he is just being over used (time wise) and in the completely wrong situations (against top lines) If he were getting 20 min a night or with a more talented partner... it would benefit him & us a whole lot!

donovan paired with martinek is light years better than paired with carkner. Also, Hickey, played extremely well despite covering for Carkner as his partner. This kid may get even better. - Isles_since_6
Pair these kids with a Defensively responsible partner and the sky is the limit.

Depending on the return. It seems as though Kabanov has run his course with the team so I wouldn't doubt if he was involved in something eventually. We need more time to evaluate Poulin before dealing an asset for anything IMO. - keaner17
Im not saying he cant be traded, but he is still very much in this teams plans for the future... His demotion is a punishment/wake up call.
They know the talent he has & I dont honestly see them trading him while his stock is so low right now... maybe when he's back in BP and is playing the way he should... but then again we sold Nino low... so...........

Kabanov has no value to anyone other than islander fans........excluding this fan - kindlyrick
Exactly... as long as he's in the ECHL no other team is trying to pry him away from us, unless they have some kind of connection to him.
