Some Sabers fans are delusion as to Ryan Miller's playoff record. they seem to think Miller will perform much better than Jonas Hiller when it comes to the playoffs. Here are their playoff stats:

Miller - 25W-22L 2.46 GAA .917%

Hiller - 10W-10L 2.31 GAA .935%

Other than getting Ryan Miller closer to Hollywood so he can bang his actress/girlfriend more often, I see no reason to dump Hiller for Miller unless serious assets are coming to the Ducks.

Stats are based on the skill of the team, miller is a WAY better goalie. That being said, if i was the ducks i wouldnt trade for him unless it was being done to help develop gibson and they got rid of hiller and fasth.

Miller wants to be in California. That's been made pretty clear by him. His wife lives there and he lives there in the offseason.

Anaheim competes with Quick and Niemi and there is a lot of belief that they also want an "elite" goaltender in their market. That's why I speculate he'll be there regardless. Hiller, Fasth, Gibson are not a "draw". I think they will trade them to make room.

Just not that way in EDM. They fill it up even when the team is a sight for sore eyes. I dont see how Miller ever ends up in Anaheim. Even as EK says. Only way Hiller is moved to EDM is if they land Miller. Now im not saying theyre gonna move Hiller. But even if they did. Id just about bet that they would rather have Fasth, Andersen, Bobkov and Gibson get shots then go for Miller. People need to understand that it doesnt matter where Miller wants to go. Hes got a list of teams he will not go to. Other than that. Its open game if Darcey can find a trade partner. Just because he wants to be in SoCal doesnt mean that Anaheim is gonna drop everything and make it happen.

I'd think something like Del Zotto and Pyatt for maybe McGinn and a depth dman like Wilson or Sarich. It's fairly equal salary wise. McGinn would provide them a little more scoring depth with Nash out. DZ is falling out of favor with his inconsistencies and probably needs a change of scenery. Seems like a win/win for both. I'd like one of the Avs young dmen like Siemens or Elliott so maybe the Rangers throw in a prospect or pick back.

Can't see Hiller going to Edmonton unless there are quality players or high draft pick coming back. The Ducks were burned in the past when Bryz was dumped by Burke and ended up in Phoenix. He turned a doormat team into a playoff contender. I can't see Bob Murray letting that happen again. If Hiller goes, it'll be to Carolina or Nashville.

I would have to stop Ken Holland from screwing over the Oilers out of self respect for the game of hockey to make such a horrible deal as that. Hall is worth Bertuzzi and Samuelsson in their primes maybe.

I dont think that the Ducks are even looking at one of Eb's, Hall or Nuge. But at some point one of Eb's, Hall, Nuge or Yak are gonna have to get moved for the future of the team.

Yup, it's finally evident now fully that he wasn't the issue. Sure, there were some guys he may have rubbed the wrong way, but from a playing stand-point, he was good enough to win and that's all we needed.

I feel for him really. He said some dumb things, but at the end of the day, he just wanted to come here and win like the rest of us, and was plastered all over the internet for everything but his actual playing ability. Shame.
