Connelly, Holzer and a second for both Schenns.

Seriously, you are bringing up those names for Luke Schenn? What a joke. Think third round pick. He doesn't have alot of value. That isn't enough for Schenn? What a joke. A second round pick at best might be too much.

I'm guessing you lack basic reading comprehension skills. I said they're not going to move those guys...swing and a miss, chief.

Just like when the Leafs were shopping Kaberle. obviously a team in the bottom 5 wasn't going to trade a 11st for him but eventually a team that finished in the upper 10 did trade a a 1st for Kabby. So mabie a contender who'll finish high up in the standings will offer a 1st for Schenn. I think Luke is worth a first pick between 20th & 25th.

Still think Homer should have been out before Lavy, the team he assembled really put the coach in a difficult position to win.

I don't entirely disagree but Lavy was given plenty of time to adjust his game to the players he had and just kept trying to pound a round peg into a square hole.

Laviolette had many faults. He was unwilling or unable to adjust, both in game and systemically, I despise how he handled young players like Couturier-who only now is getting an opportunity to play with more skilled offensive players on a regular basis-and routinely asked guys to handle jobs that were above their ability levels

couturier- #8th overall in 2011. has played in NHL since he was 18. single handedly shut down malkin as a rookie in the playoffs.

schenn-5th overall pick in 2008. also played in nhl since he was 18.

both locked up until 2016 on cheap contracts.

and you want them for glencross(solid older player) and backlund(under performing previous first round pick)?

lets START with monahan, reinhart, and one of sieloff or wotherspoon if you want couturier and schenn.

we refused to give up couturier or brayden schenn for SHEA weber!

Not really....if it had just been those two, maybe. But the price was them, plus a couple first rounders and probably another player, to boot.

i wonder if the blues are after schenn.

when i heard they were scouting philly i assumed it was for a depth d-man but schenn doesn't seem to make the most sense.

- Blue Clam

Not sure I can see that unless there is a D going the other way, and I'm not sure the Blues are willing to part with Shattenkirk unless something really special is coming back the other way. JBo and Petro aren't going anywhere.

To STL: Giroux, L Schenn
To PHI: Stewart, Shattenkirk, 1st

This is about the only way I see this happening, but I doubt Giroux is going anywhere and I'm not sure the salaries would work out either.

....pass.

They aren't moving Giroux to move LSchenn. Cant believe I'm actually typing that. But yeah.

A coach makes a player a healthy scratch after a GM fired his predecessor after just a few games , and the vultures will circle, hungry or not. A blogger without rumors tries to feast as well. Nothing to see here. No one is serious. E-0

The problem is, trading a guy less than two years after acquiring him for the former number two overall pick is exactly the kind of knee jerk deal the Flyers have been known to make.

If they continue to stumble, I'd expect more deals to happen.

That tells me all I need to know about Backlund because I don't think Couturier is worth a poop at all.

So, when are the Patrick Kaleta rumors to Philly going to happen? He would fit in very well.

- Oneonta Penguin

I heard Penguinos were interested in Kaleta as a replacement for Matt Cooke, fans were crying on the streets of Pitts when he was let go

Why does trade talk arise for players when their value is at their lowest? Like last year when everyone in Habs nation wanted Markov gone before the start of the year. Trade him for what? a box of timbits? At least pair the guy up with someone that'll make him look good in hopes of increasing his value.

Where exactly does it state that the Flyers are shopping him? So in this clowns theory, the flyers sat him so he's going to be shopped? Soo, they are going to have to trade a poop load of players because they've sat Mesz,Gus,Gill,Schenn,Rosehill,Hall and Rinaldo. Please shut up!
