How many Habs fans thought Subban would be their best defenceman after two years? Most probably assumed Markov would be. It's a young mans game, and Phaneuf doesnt have much other than size and experience over Rielly. I don't think it'll happen overnight, but give it a couple years and Rielly will be our #1

Then we'll have #1's. Rielly was drafted as an offensive defenseman, but he has an IQ that could easily make him a very good two way defenseman in a few years. Some scouts were saying he won't be top tier like Karlson/Letang but more like a Paul Martin, I think Martin is an understatement for Rielly, but somewhere between that is where I see him.

Funny, but that top line may be the most potent its been all season with Lupul up there; and it's not like Bozak or Kadri have been successful on the draw this year either.
