i remember those days.

funny thing.. what schenn was projected to be (not what he is now) is exactly the type of d-man the leafs need.

he needs to stop pressuring the play.. back off and let it come to him.. like gill does. he simply does not have the wheels to be any other kind of player.

but if he backed off and just played solid boring stay at home D.. i think he'd be fine.

How many Habs fans thought Subban would be their best defenceman after two years? Most probably assumed Markov would be. It's a young mans game, and Phaneuf doesnt have much other than size and experience over Rielly. I don't think it'll happen overnight, but give it a couple years and Rielly will be our #1
