Because they're rebuilding and any veteran that you can get a return on should be part of trade talks. There are teams that could use a guy like Kaleta. He's a good defensive player and he's great on the PK.

REGARDLESS, I'm glad they waived him. And I hope he never plays a game with the Sabres again. I've been sick of his antics for a long time, and he adds no value to the squad as a whole. This move doesn't immediately make the team better, but it will in the long run.

We can pick up a decent back up in free agency , You don't draft a back up . That is a couple years you have to invest in them to make them a suitable back up . Teul has terrible touch , even most of the receptions the receivers had to adjust too . He is a project and has no place in a game yet . Flynn would have better option today . Just simplify the playbook even more for him. Seems the decision to start Teul was not well thought out.
