I would think if EDM were to trade away Yak, they would want to keep that first rounder to select a replacement for Yakapov. He seems like a "problem player"....don't think that's a good idea in our locker room. I'd love to see Ott get an extension, but I think all uFA's are assets to Regier right now. I'd definitely trade Meyers if the deal was sweet enough. That's a long contract for a team to take off our hands tho.
Also, Reegarding Meyers: modified NTC (not eligible until 2016-17, details TBANot sure if that means we CANT trade him until 16-17 or if we have to wait until then.

I don't like that trade because I don't like Yakupov. He basically came right out and said that he's not going to listen to the coaches even though he'd been scratched two games in a row. He's got an obvious attitude problem. Definitely not the type of guy we need here right now. We need young guys that are going to be willing to work hard and listen to the coaching staff.

Normally I would agree with you, but I in this case, given the coaches, I don't he should be listening to them! I think the Sabres players should start ignoring Rolston!

I hope Rolston doesn't end up being another scapegoat for Darcy to be safe, they both ought to go.

In some cases I agree, but at the same time, I don't like the attitude that he's giving off. He's also a huge threat to decide to go play in the KHL as well, so that's another reason I wouldn't want to do this trade.

I agree, Yakupov is the epitome of why Russians are falling in the draft as of late, well that and Kovy completely ditching the league.

I would tend to agree with you on this. I wasn't a fan of this trade either but the 1st rd pick was interesting. I think the Sabres could look elsewhere to make a deal and probably will.

Ott is a sophistacated Kaleta who everyone on this site appear not to like edge dirty players. But Otts a hero.
Myers would trade in a second.
