As for the woebegone Buffalo Sabres, not only is Ryan Miller for sale, but valuable commodities Steve Ott, Christian Erhoff, Drew Stafford could also be moved, the Sun reports. The Sabres are wisely going full rebuild and want draft picks and prospects.

Honestly, Stafford is worth more than people think. I could see him fetching a 2nd round pick and prospect. Yea thats still nothing for the player he was "supposed" to turn into but it would be dumb to waive him or try and scoop up a worthless prospect.

He can obviously score but just not with the current makeup of on this team anymore. If he left and went to a team that was pushing for a cup its easy to see him contribute on the scoresheet again.

If he ever regained his 50 pt form again he is more than worth his current cap hit.

Im all for moving him though

Happens from time to time

Id rather gamble on him then Myers regaining his 5 million dollar form we have the luxury of D depth

i don't know how it works but i would think the only way you could get a 2nd (and that is still a stretch) is if you are paying half for the life of the contract

i don't really think Myers had 5 mil dollar form. he maybe had 4 mil form his rookie year.. but it has been about 1.5 - 2 since

That's a ton for Reinhart. He might never even be as good as Myers

Actually the UFA list at that cap hit for a comparable age is pretty non existent. Most expiring contracts are all north of 30 years old or anyone looking for another contract will be getting sizable pay raises

He scored 10 goals his second year. That's only 1.5 mil worth?

i said 1.5 to 2. he scored 10 goals had 27 assists and was an even +/-.. maybe i should have said 1.5 to 2.75 mil. is that better

Im assuming the conversation goes as follows.

Inquiring GM - Darcy I hear Drew Stafford is available. What is the asking price?
Darcy - We are looking for a return like we got for Paul Gaustad, a first round pick.
