That's actually quite impressive. You'd think just by accident, by playing on the first line, he'd accumulate a few secondary assists in that time frame.

I like Hatnell, but I don't think he is a go to guy. If players around him are playing terrible, he can't carry them on his back. If the team learns to play in the o-zone again, I bet we see his production go back to the 40-50 pts variety.

Hate his contract. Hate simmonds contract too.

So you want to sell ridiculously low an 2 more young players? Sounds good to me. Just don't be pissed when JVR, I mean, B. Schenn, becomes a 30-goal scorer and we have a middling #4/5 defender who becomes a healthy scratch in his place.

It's win-win! We get to trade people and then female dog about how well they're doing elsewhere

Just because he might score 30 somewhere else doesn't mean he'd score 30 here.

The Schenns do nothing for me, so I have no hope they will ve anything more than role players. On this team at least. I don't mind Luke, but Brayden pisses me off.

Exactly. Win-win.

I just find it funny how many of the same folks I saw shredding JvR are pissed off that he's finally developed in Toronto.

I think it was a poor trade considering how I valued JvR. To me JvR was more untouchable than Schenn and Coots.

In hindsight, jvr should have been packaged for weber if we were gonna dump him regardless. Again, all hindsight.

I was onboard with the trade at the time, because it seemed as if JvR was going to be the sacrificial lamb, regardless.

I also never expected the Flyers to allow Carle to leave without replacing him. That's really where the JvR-Schenn trade hurts. They had a valid need for a guy with good wheels and puck abilities, and didn't get one.

Nothing this team does shocks me at this point.

Only the Flyers can get crapped on for a melee in which they lose two top 6 forwards to injuries from said melee and then, get involved in trade rumors involving the defenseman that they acquired for their consolation prize for the last time they finished last in the league.

I'm not even sure I see light at the end of the tunnel for this team at this point.

They def didn't address their needs. The Flyers always do that it seems. Need a big winger, sign Zherdev. Need a puck moving dman, let Carle walk and trade for Schenn.

Need depth at defense, ignore the position every draft.

They've got a great deal of trade value on the team. Voracek, Giroux, Read, and the Schenns would bring back a massive return, but most likely we wouldn't be better off for it.

I just don't think a trade helps this team at this point unless some other GM is asleep at the switch and just gifts the Flyers some talent.

Unless the light goes on for one of the younger forwards on this team, I just can't see things getting better any time soon. The defense is what it is at this point. We absolutely need a forward putting the puck in the back of the net on a consistent basis.

I know this would never happen, but I think giroux might need a change of scenery. If the offer came, since their contracts are similar and pittsburghs so deep on defense, especially in the minors, would you do giroux for letang.

Yes..12 bad games so far...lets get rid of him..ignore what has done in the playoffs over 50 games..Ignore his basically being a point a game player over the past 3 seasons.

ERMAGRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12 bad games..

I still cringe over the JVR trade. If he ever scores 50 like I think he will; its going to be real fun in here

The worst thing that the Flyers can do is make a trade specifically to save this season. Let them sink or swim with what they have.

The second worse thing that could happen is Snider having another one of his "Never Again!" moments which would lead to the Flyers trying to save the season.

If they made another Downie type trade, I'd be OK with it...I agree I don't want to see some kind of half-assed season saving trade
