Well Brown is a winger anyways as is Leivo. The Leafs have major issues at centre depth even at the prospect level.

When the play-by-play guy is asked to MC a Canucks ceremony it shouldn't be too difficult to understand where his biases lie. It's pretty clear-cut when you listen to any HNIC broadcast that the broadcast crew does not like the Maple Leafs.
