Are there any good RFA's next year ? I think if we are going to have quite a bit of cap space then maybe we should think about offer sheeting someone. I know that would involve giving up picks but no one can honestly think we will get 1 overall. It will be in that 9-12 range which to me is way more depressing then losing all year and getting a top 3 pick. - blizzzard

I was just listing guys. Subban needs to be qualified at 4 million. I'm Sure the Habs will qualify him. So he only needs an offer of like 4.1 million from other teams. O'Reilly needs to be qualified at almost 7 million. That's ridiculous. |

I don't think he is half as good defensively and likely a lot better offensively. He is also like 22 and been in the league for 3 years. I am pretty pumped about Merril being called up though |

Just citing how we can't develop offensive talent it seems. look at these pitiful faceoffs stats sums up why we couldn't do jack poop last night.
Although Zajac has only one goal and three assists this season, he was definitely missed tonight on faceoffs. He’s taken a team-high 200 faceoffs this season and has won 51 percent, making him the only player on the team who has taken more than 40 draws with a winning record.
The Devils went 24-37 for 39 percent tonight. Henrique took the bulk of the draws, going 14-17. Stephen Gionta was 4-4 and Danius Zubrus was 2-1, making them the only Devils who didn’t have losing records. Jacob Josefson was 4-6 and Andrei Loktionov had a rough night at 0-7 and didn’t take any faceoffs in the third period when the Devils had their best period on draws, going 11-9.
That's why Zajac is important to us. But my god we desperately need to trade for a (frank)ing guy who can win some draws. Or play Josefson more maybe he gets better at least he is young and won some of his draws. Lokti 0 for 7? Are you (frank)ing kidding me....You can't play center doing that. Henrique seems to be getting a little better at them but still a long way off to being good. |

Need a guy or two who knows how to score goals to. We addressed the transition game with Gelinas we still need to be much better at face offs and get one guy who will score 30 a year without any doubt and we should be ok but the lack of finish on this team is disturbing. I can't get over the amount of hectic mad scrambles we have had and guys miss the puck or bang it wide of then open net we just can not by a goal in those situations. So far I haven't been a Ryder fan he and Brunner are way to inconsistent and when they aren't scoring there is very little they are doing. Jagr, Zajac and Henrique seem to be the only forwards who contribute to the team when not putting up points and the other guys are 3rd/4rth liners who we can't expect to carry the load offensively. |

Doesn't help the lines change every 10 mins. I understand injuries happened yesterday but i couldn't even tell you the line combo's other than the 4th yesterday and for the entire year I think i could name 2 lines that have played more than 2 games together. He gives people almost no time to develop in game chemistry. Jagr had to sit him down and tell him after a game what was good early on in the year. But yeah the inconsistency from Brunner and Ryder along with some injures has made it hard to find a 2nd and 3rd line combo or even pair of guys to play together. |

Like I said to we will be fooling ourselves if we think the injury bug is going to leave us alone. We have to many over 30 guys that are just to vulnerable to injuries because of their age. If Jagr where to miss time we would be in a lot of trouble. |

Wow just wow
. Mattias Tedenby and Jacob Josefson filled in; they have four goals in their past 115 games combined over two-plus seasons. |

I have not liked what I've seen from Brunner since he was playing well in the beginning of the season. Same goes for Ryder, he is pretty much invisible if not scoring, which is something I remember hearing about him when he signed. I hope they pick it up a bit. |

We got zero chemistry other than the 4th line which is virtually worthless on a losing team. Not looking good and this no pick thing blows. Seems we take a step forward and then 2 steps back every time you think they are figuring it out. |
