Maybe we need to get a star player in here. Having 2 guys finish with 20 goals and 15 with 10 isn't exactly what I would consider scoring by committee.

There really isn't a lot of players I wouldn't be willing to drive to the airport myself. Even from here in Tampa

Henrique needs to be on the block. Trade Zajac and/or Volchenkov for anything, buyout the one you can't move. Trade Jagr, Ryder, begin the rebuild and hope Schneider finds a reason to stay in NJ when it comes time to attempt to re-sign him.

I think we're high-fiving, not because we allowed 14 shots, but because we actually won a game.

I don't think either of the Adams are part of the problem. But I do think that we where kidding ourselves thinking we didn't need a legit star player.

Woah, I definitely don't think we're anywhere near rebuild. This was obviously a bad game but were missing Zajac, clowe, Salvador, and elias. We've been playing well lately. Still in the playoff picture

I think we have been playing better without Sal, minus this game. But he wouldn't have helped us score. Elias and Zajac hurt us being out and who even knows whats wrong with Elias since he missed 2 games with the flu then came back and then all of a sudden leaves 90 seconds into warm up ? Clowe is probable never coming back. Zajac probably could of played tonight from what I had read but was likely to scared after seeing the Flyers last game so decided to sit this one out. Be nice if he had talent that had heart. we have guys with lots of heart and no talent but very few with talent and heart.

We can't really "blow it up". The only real value we could get for our vets is:

Jagr for 3rd
Zidlicky for 5th
Lou'll keep Ryder for at least a year, but if not, Ryder for (if we're REALLY lucky) a 2nd

Sal has negative value
Volchenkov has negative value
Harrold has negative value

I think the heart problem is partly deboers fault. He's a slow and steady kind of guy. Makes it frustrating to follow the team. At the same time I still can't help but respect him.

Yea I can agree with that but Parise had heart. He also had no problem banging in the garbage goals in those mad scrambles that we seem to have such trouble with.
