Stafford for Rundblad?

I don't think Stafford would get claimed off waivers at this point. The Yotes are not in the Market to give up high end prospects for guys that score 5 goals, don't check and are making 4+ mil per season.....

That's an overpayment for Yak in my eyes. A defensemen who eats up 20 plus minutes a game a young D prospect who could be a 20 minute guy needs a change and a 2nd round pick which the Oilers don't have for a kid who has a ton of talent but is in the dog house with the organization. Edmonton needs D we have a ton of it. It seems about right as we would probably have to overpay a bit for Yak

Right ow yes....I like his upside, but he would still be in the AHL if he was on a contender. Would he even be on Pittsburg or Boston.....NO...I like his upside and he is very smart with the puck, but he needs to be much stronger to be a top 4 d-man in the NHL...

Rundblad is considered a better prospect then Pysyk....And the Yotes are pretty loaaded with young quality defensman. Rundblad would definatly be a top 4 on this Sabres team....But dont let reality and the face that Stafford is playing a 3rd line role for the worst team in the NHL cloud your judgement....And who cares if Staff is getting 4 mill a season....Welcome to reality

I have no problem with people who disagree with me but just to say you are wrong without giving a reason isn't a good argument.

If yak cant produce with the talent he has in EDM I don't want him on our dysfunctional team. Keep our tradable pieces for some other team.

Mcnabb can't crack the Sabres lineup....That means he should probably be in the ECHL.....I like Ehrhoff is a solid #3 defenseman and I like the 2nd round pick, but I would guess the oilers could get quite a bit in return for last years #1 overall that lead all rookies in goals last year.

Now at least that's a valid argument. But no Runblad is not considered a better prospect than Pysk. I'm not even sure he is considered a better prospect than McCabe. You are using the fact that our defensemen is full of rookies as an excuse that Pysk is getting top 4 minutes. That's not his fault that's on Darcy. He just so happens to be playing well in those top 4 minutes but it seems to go over people's head because of how bad the rest of the team is. That my friend is reality

It's probably true that a team like say Philly would break the bank for Yak and give up more.

Rundblad is also 2 years older than Pysyk and taken a year earlier.....Id say hes farther behind in development.

Mcnabb has been banished to Roch per Darcy for not working out with the Sabres during the off season. "Mcnabb can stay in Roch and will never see another NHL game" Because he had to help his family with the farm over the summer. per convo that came out after Ruff was fired .

Yak WAS a top 3 prospect not anymore. mackinnon Barkov Jones etc have jumped him. Going into this season yes he was top 3 but the fact he couldn't find the lineup is a big example of why he isn't anymore. The only reason he is playing as much as he is now is because of the injuries Edmonton has right now.

The only person that's high is the one that thinks they can get an asset for Drew Staffors....

The Yotes would be more likely to give Runblad his release then try to land staff.....lol....Seriosly, even if Runblad sucks and you are right, why in the world would anyone want Drew and his 4 mil cap hit...I am sure 30 teams would offer something more then DREW!!!

It's 10 games into his 2nd year....Relax....If the oilers were ready to ship him off for a journeyman defender and AHL'er and a 2nd round draft pick any team in the NHL would do it.
