they traded richards and carter more bc they were out of control in public, causing the flyers problems. This included a concert where they were apparently heavily intoxicated and drawing attention. Also Richards and Carter were not fitting into the flyer community as much as Snider would have liked. As far as them being absent at several events.

I don't think the flyers ever saw this as rebuild like you mentioned and that was just the poster's opinion. Thats not factual based.

there's some truth to the off ice stuff, but i don't know the particulars.

carter and richie both seemed to let the contracts go to their heads based on their on-ice performances/disappearances. there's no question that the team reshuffled the deck hastily, but for me, the subsequent moves were the ones that sunk this team...starting w/ bryz

They should really call up Holmstrom or Vandevelde to replace Rosehill. I don't mind having a tough guy on the roster for the occasional game where it's known ahead of time they're needed, but for games like these it would definitely be better to have a true checking line forward who can actually get ice time.
