One thing that hasn't been talked about a lot is how strong Couturier is becoming on faceoffs. He was a 53.3% coming into the Season. And he was at 80% in the first period.

He's fine. I feel better about his game from what he's shown. He needs to fill out more and he will be an elite 3rd line center much like handzus or bolland

Shenn and schenn for yakupov and hemsky?

You'd be happy to just get a one way plane ticket with offering the brothers in the same package.

Thats what you like to see, a player that works on his weakness and improves. I'd take Couturier over B Schenn in a heartbeat; when Couts isnt scoring he contributes in other ways, when Schenn isnt scoring he brings nothing else to the table. Also, and I can't stress this enough, Couturier is only 20 years old and is still filling out.

With all that being said, I wouldnt be opposed to moving Couturier, but ONLY if the deal brings back a legit top line scorer or top pair dman under the age of 27 or so.

See what Jagr did? Drew 3 flyers to him. And we wonder why do many flyers had career years when he was here.

Are you serious? You realize this is a business and not the latest Twilight movie..
It being his Bday has no meaning at all.

Yeah...it's frustrating. I don't mind Pronger, because guys get hurt. I don't mind The Trades, I didn't like The Goaltender.

But even with all of that...we should still be better than this. We really should.

- AllInForFlyers

thought they would struggle to make the plyoffs cause the mix seemed funky up front and of course on D. but other than mason's superb play, it's been a total downer.

funny because they haven't had tending like this except in spurts, but i knew that d was going to be an issue.

I wasn't horrified by this team until that NJ game in the preseason, when it was obvious that they couldn't score.

Mason's been great; he's been awesome to watch and I'm glad he's here.

It's been difficult to find other bright spots on this team. Really difficult.

You know if schenn was in snd out of the lineup then maybe it wouldn't be a surprise. But this is the first game he is scratched as a flyer and it just so happens to be his bday. And don't tell me they didn't know. These guys know. Just fishy. Like he is part of trade and they don't want him to get hurt and are editing till after game to announce because they are moving a forward too and didn't have someone to play for him because of the injuries.
