no, what's escaped you is that their GM is responsible for the team he put together and that there is something called plan B...and there is no way anyone could objectively say he's done a good job over the last 2-3 yrs. GMs are judged by results. the flyers results since 1/12 suck.

There is no succession plan for replacing a franchise defenseman like Pronger. And again, I don't know why this is difficult for you to grasp. But I have never stated that Holmgren is not responsible for the team on the ice. But yet you keep stating that as if you keep saying it, it might actually be the case.
The Flyers are not a good team right now. There's a lot of reasons why. And again, you're ignoring that the Flyers went into a rebuild and knew they were taking some steps back when they made the moves they made. We're seeing growing pains as a result, along with the holes in the lineup.

Speculation. There's a lot of reasons why the Flyers have the record they do. I love the trade. It was a great trade. I hope if the opportunity arises again to add a franchise defenseman, they do it again. And I don't sweat for a second not having any of those players.
