Yea but homer has made moves that aren't smart and high risk . See trade for pronger and attempt to offer sheet weber. When weber fell through they had no contingency and let a valuable piece walk in the meantime. With pronger I'm sorry we grossly overpaid. - JoeRussomanno
Trading for a future hall of fame , a true number 1 d man still playing at the top of his game and they overpaid? |

Did he not elevate his game against the Pens when we dropped them in the playoff two years ago? Come on dude, try looking past a 12-game sample size..... - steelydan yea he was great against a porous penguins... What happened in the next round? |

I can't believe people here want to trade Giroux. - Emperor Filonius
I don't want to. I did, however, say earlier that if we got a huge payout for him, I wouldn't mind if he was moved. |

Who cares what line he was on? You stated that he has an utter inability to elevate against stiffer competition. 55 points in 50 playoff games says otherwise.

Interesting...Dave Isaac appears to be wondering if Hal Gill might be in tonight, though no one has announced anything. |

Which was clearly evident by their getting 2 wins away from a cup with him as their Number 1. |

When he put up 93 points did that make him a top line player?
When he averages a little less than a point a game in the regular season and a little more than a point a game in the playoffs that doesn't make him a top line player? |

Might be leight but Winnipeg claiming Ellerby off waivers was an awesome move for them. The team that claims Kaleta will have also made a nice move. |

Downie's actions in the game, had zero to do with a lack of discipline. He came to the aid of a teammate, and sacrificed himself to do so. And paid for it with a concussion and a broken orbital bone. If anything, I like the deal even better. What he did showed the strength of his character, not his lack of discipline. - MJL
As always, Holmgren has won a trade. He's a genius!
As I said, laughing stocks of the NHL |
