i think a top 6 fwd, a top 4 d and a 1st rd pick.

I'm not tootin my horn, I'm the same messurables as Olensky and have taken down bigger guys, hell, look at Simmonds. Vinny is not slouch, he got caught, it happens. Bigger is not always better

I have followed Giroux all through his junior career and beyond. I just can't figure out what is going on. But you can't let it continue without some kind of intervention for fear it might not ever get reversed.

I still think his hands screwed up but really have nothing to base that on other than watching him flex it in warm ups when I was there. I hope there isn't nerve damage. If he is still hurt I would hope they just shut him down to heal, this season is a lost cause it seems.

Great question. Now that is a trade I would look into. Probably the only trade involving G.

The rumor over the summer (That I thought was too good to be true) was apparently Giroux to Florida for Markstrom, Brian Campbell (with 2-3mil retained on his cap hit), a 2013 1st round pick (Seth Jones), a 2014 1st round pick, and I think another pick/prospect or 2. I would've loved that trade.

This is such a meltdown I cant believe it. I think Lukko has to step in if hes not a merely a Snider corporate apologist company man and clean the mess up on his asset which is degrading and looks to lose a huge amount of money given the buyouts and two years without playoffs.

This is the second or third year in a row Giroux has had hand problems. Anyone remember his wrists being screwed after the 2012 playoffs as well ???
To be truthful I would trade him if reasonable depth value could be gotten. Of course which GM would you trust not to screw up the deal. I fear his hands will never recover or will take years. That brings this to mind-Does anyone remember the former Flyer ( was it Scott Mellanby ?) lawsuit over non hockey injuries to his hand or arms where he lost some use and sued for the potential loss of income due to limited abilities ??

The last time the team was this bad (06-07 and they were not this bad in the same way) I was friendly with someone in hockey operations with another NHL team and became a fan of theirs for the year. This year is much worse.
