well, if you're talking about last night's post-game stuff, that was just one guy who said that ... and then he disappeared, so I'm assuming he was banned. He's been banned before, if I remember correctly.

I agree that sometimes there's a little more leeway given by the mods to their own fans ... but they can't always divorce themselves of their feelings. We're all hockey fans to start with, and occasionally it's hard to be 100% objective in a certain situation. Especially when it comes to your own team.

- FlyerGuy

I'm not referring to anything last night. The thread here was respectable. It generally is with Flyers fan on HB, which is funny, because it's sort of against the Flyerdom reputation.

Do you really believe Jakub Voracek is an "bring it every night" guy who we should build around, or is that what you want him to be/hope he is?

Because I know what Claude Giroux is. He's played in the Stanley Cup finals, been a monster in those and in regular seasons. I don't worry about him, at 25 years old.

But those other guys on this roster...I don't trust too many of them, anymore.

- AllInForFlyers

I'm willing to give Jake at least a whole season before giving up on him. He was our best player many nights last year and is only 24 and brings a pretty good mix of size, speed and skill to the table.

Lecavalier is 6"4" 220, and he got his skull tap danced on by big bad Steve Olesky 6'0" 190. Embarrassing.

I hate the Flyers but I don't hate anyone that bad. Zajac is the nexus of the universe for underachievement. I've got him slated for a compliancy buy-out.

Wilson started the fighting with a 7-0 lead. That after charging Emery with a 6-0 lead. No problem with Emery going after their goalie instead of having someone like Rosehill do it. He should've backed off after a few good hits though.

Exactly. In the NHL players who give up 4 inches and 30 pounds routinely break their dance partners face. Nice try though.

See, I understand every word you just typed. There is no good reason to trade Jake Voracek.

But see...that's where those intangibles come in. I...am not certain about anybody on this team right now. The way they rolled over for too many games last season, this season, last night...

You listed three guys who you feel are untouchable. It's killing me, as a fan of this team, to want to cut that to two.

Anyone think Coburn+ could get us an expiring contract like Gaborik or Camalleri?

Wilson fought Simmonds because he was running around on that shift. Nothing illegal, but that hit on Wilson was borderline and Wilson is not one to take that.

Who charged Emery?

I feel your pain, and again, no one is truly untouchable, but it would take a lot, a real lot, to get me to want to move Voracek and most likely even more to think about moving G or Mason.

I'm sorry guys but this team is really pissing me off these days... I don't mean to take it out on the other posters but when I call the squad out on these moves they made then get screamed at by you guys and see what I said come true it's a (frank)ed up feeling... I find myself getting so aggravated these days and causing more than just simple discussion ... Hope you all understand where I'm coming from ...

plenty of smaller guys have been tough s.o.b.'s ... and plenty of bigger guys can't fight a damn.

it's not all about who is bigger in hockey fights. just like in real life.

What Emery did was inexcusable. Anyone defending it is lost. Holtby handled it perfectly, when it was over he laughed it off and proceeded with his shutout.

Simmons did nothing wrong. Wilson didn't like being checked. SO he starts a fight with a 7-0 lead. They were all crashing the net on the previous series. It's like stealing a base with a 20 run lead in baseball. Next batter is getting hit. It was bush league IMO. I will add that Emery should be suspended no less than 5 games. Leaving the crease and hitting while opponent down and defenseless.

I honestly believe he's our best player in terms of skill right now... At least when he gets the puck he's trying to do something ... Seems like our franchise guy doesn't want anything to do with it most of the time...

You <------------------------------------------------> the point.

Mike Tyson - 5' 10", 230lbs.

Holyfield - 6'1", 225lbs.

Larry Holmes - 6'3", 250lbs.

etc. Tyson was always the shortest, and their weight was obviously within a certain range, hence weight class.

So apparently what you'e saying is Tyson should have lost every fight.
