Only problem I have is they seem to be searching for some magic moment....some magic trade ....some magic play ....maybe they just are not very good....yesterday Pannacio suggested that Downey needed to be a catalyst ...again, this same search for team and identity took place last year.....perhaps there really is no magic moment.

You start with Hartnell...you try and trade him, if you cant he goes on waivers to see if he gets claimed. He has been on these teams as a veteran through all of this. He exudes no leadership, he rides the wave like everyone else, not mention hes sucked for a couple years now.

Emery went after Holtby...Holtby made it pretty clear he didn't want to fight. You've got to respect that. And Holtby had nothing to do with the 7 goals the Caps scored and any feelings of "running it up" the Flyers may have had in the 3rd.

And we're the slow ones. And why does it matter what term you used? Because it's the English language. Different words have different meanings, and aren't perfectly interchangeable, that's why. But we're the slow ones.

My point was, if the contracts are bad the chances of them getting claimed on waivers is slim. And the new CBA doesnt allow burying of contracts in the AHL, ala Wade Redden. So there would be no cap relief.

I really hope you're being sarcastic. I own Penguins jerseys older than this years rookie class.

Any chance of Shea Weber has passed. With Jones there now, Poile has his elite 1-2 pairing back. Soonest Weber becomes an option is in a few years when Jones has matured, and the Preds have had the benefit of a few of the less expensive seasons on his contract.

Also, don't know what Philly has to offer. The Preds are littered with decent young 2nd and 3rd liners. They need true top line playmakers.

Flyers lost 7-0, got humiliated and started playing dirty. That's the bottom line. It's typical flyers hockey

I'm thinking it might not hurt to bench Giroux and make sure he gets the message. This perimeter game the Flyers have perfected really is sickening to watch.

We have to fix the problem before it spreads to Vinny and the AHL call ups.
