Should I be concerned last night was a wake up call? If there was anytime to turn it around playing a rival after getting shelled is a good time.
Lost alot of respect of Emery one thing to fight a guy who doesn't want to fight even to throw punches before he is even ready. But to keep hitting while he's down...Come on man show some class. - NickA
Does your team have any goalies? If so, I would not play them tonight. Word in Philly is that Emery has been beating people up in the city all night, and is slated to start tonight. |

I had a much bigger problem with the Flyers' actions (or lack thereof) in the second period. - bmeltzer
I agree. they played well in the first, got scored on and just laid down. |

Flyers lost 7-0, got humiliated and started playing dirty. That's the bottom line. It's typical flyers hockey |

I stayed away from the boards last night because of utter frustration, and I knew what it would be like. And rightfully so, they deserve all of the criticism they got. You could see some signs of progress being made under Berube. But there was obviously still lot's of work to do. But how you can go so completely backwards, to the have the bottom drop out like that, is mind boggling. That game, the 2nd period especially, was pathetic and embarrassing. It's one thing to compete and lose games just because you aren't that good of a team. But that game was beyond that. That game screamed to me, "we're not that good, and we don't give a poop about it". That's how bad that effort was. I was embarrassed to be a Flyers fan last night. Oh goodie, they decided to fight back and get into some fights! Too little, too late! Where was that fight when they truly needed it? I won't single out a single player for criticism, they were all bad. With the exception of the Goalies. This team talent wise is so much better. Well talent on paper isn't worth crap with that effort behind it. Fans are chanting "fire Holmgren". He is ultimately responsible, but how can the GM be responsible for that effort? That's all on the players. I'm disgusted. Rant over. - MJL
there's a lot to agree with here, but homer put this frankenstein together and it is damn proper to call for his ouster. |

Fully aware of Potsdam. And remember playing in watertown as a kid. Coldest indoor rink I've been in. Ref got his jersey wet and it froze stiff by the end of the game. |

Quote from Max Talbot after last night's Colorado win,"It was fun, exciting," Talbot said. "I liked the atmosphere where even though they came back 2-2 in the third, the bench was just even keel. We just didn't panic and went for it. That's the feeling of a winning team, a team that's confident, a team that plays with a little bit of a spark, and it was a good feeling."
Quote from Downie after last nights game, "where am I?" - Dkos
Dude seriously? like Talbot was helping calm things on the FLyers bench while here? At least Downie showed a sign of life, skated hard and came to the defense of his teammate. |

(frank) Emery. What a greaseball. Not only jumped Holtby but pummelled him in the back of the head when he was going down. Someone should two-hand him in the hip and put him out of the league. Complete joke. - jimithing
Maybe kessel will play them soon.he can chop him down while someone else hold him. lol |

The last thing im worried about is Emery fighting Marty. He wouldn't make it past center ice. Someone would gladly take the ass kicking for him |

This is a 5 year rebuild. Hextall needs to execute a plan to be back int the playoffs in 5 years. That's fine. I'm cool with it. Just do things the right way.
Season ticket holders were eating that despicable poop show up last night in the 3rd I'm sure.
I was kind of surprised our blogger defended it. To me it makes little difference if they would've done that or not. There's is still no pulse here |

Starting fights is one thing, but what emery did is something else. There's no defending that. I lost all my respect for him. How often do you see a goalie doing that? |

Doing what? Attacking an unwilling opponent? Not even giving him a chance to take his gloves off? More than once pummeling the back of the guys head when he's on his knees? There was plenty to not like, you need to be more specific. |

He'll be in Russian soon enough he keeps pulling classless moves like last night. Have fun watching 42 yr old Jagr out work your entire roster tonight. |
