Yes in a secondary scoring role he's amazing. - JoeRussomanno
In the 11/12 NHL Season, Giroux scored 93 points in the regular Season. And 12 points in 11 playoff games. Was he in a secondary scoring role that Season?

I guess Dan Carrillo should be in the hall too I mean he was on altar team and win the cup a couple years later with Chicago
- JoeRussomanno
Really?
Future first ballot hall of fame and one of the top dmen to ever play, was 34 and coming off a 48 point season.
Anyone with any common sense makes that trade every day of the week. |

My bad..when 2Real asked how many last year I thought he meant last season.
Because you know the playoffs hinge on one player. |

Good point..12 games is way more indicative of the quality of a player then 3-4 seasons are. |

He quietly put up meaningless points... I don't mean to be brash but it is what it is. When they signed him last offseason I said he wouldn't live up to that contract... An 8th of the way into the season and so far he has a stupid injury and no goals.. He's over rated. |

He wasn't still in his prime. That trade burnt us - JoeRussomanno
that was absolutely a great trade for the Flyers at the time ... although obviously Pronger being hurt changes the perspective. But at the time he was exactly what the Flyers needed. |

It's too bad that Luke Schenn has to clear waivers to be sent down.
Before anybody takes my head off, I'm not saying "I hate Luke Schenn" or "I think he's an AHL player" or "He can never help us."
He's just a player right now who looks like he could use a couple of weeks down there playing massive minutes, while working with Terry Murray -- who is one of the best teachers of defensemen I think the Flyers have ever had -- so he can get his game in order.
You can't do that at the NHL level, and in this case, what Schenn needs, to me, is to play a huge amount of minutes and then get some strong technical instruction.
