Kind of weird, I remember you coming on this board originally, and being pretty optimistic regarding the team.

Im sure some of the older posters here know, when I first joined HB I was pretty upbeat about them as well. Over the last few years though, my views have changed. I am still a fan, and dont really like ripping the team I cheer for, but it is what it is, at this point.

They will be back, but they have to a degree alienated me as a fan.

If you trade for Bogosian on your team in NHL14.. be prepared for him to miss 50% of all the games.

They have talent... But keeping a system that wasn't working around for too long really has decomposed a lot of the soul this team once had. The management continually overpaying for players don't help.

Once everyone takes their manpons out about Emery and we can talk about what needs to happen to improve this team...

1. Holmgren has to go. Yay Hextall because that is a "culture change"
2. Try and package some number of B. Schenn, Datsyuk V2, Simmonds, Hartnell , useless D man 1-6 for a legit top line forward or 1-2 dman.
3. Timmo moved to 5-6 dman ice time.

Because they haven't shown enough of that at all this year, I'm afraid it would take nothing short of a wizard at this point...

Not sure what you mean with #1 but I totally digress there. Prom toning hextall will be simple wash rinse repeat. If they want real change go get someone with a proven track record from outside the organization ... Or simply have snider retire... Too much good ol' boy club enough is enough already. We've had former players of this team as GM for like 3 decades now time to get the groceries from another store.

Poor Vinny! Team he picked sucks and is looking at a rebuild and he gets his face broken. Must be regretting his choice right now. Karma is a female dog!

Meh, if a bad team cannot beat you on the ice they need to figure out some way to feel like they accomplished something.

Then again its the Flyers that ended up losing 2 players as a result of the fights, so they got the short end of that one too. The Flyers season continues to swirl down the toilet.

Lecavalier is 6"4" 220, and he got his skull tap danced on by big bad Steve Olesky 6'0" 190. Embarrassing.
