Were you following the conversation? From 81 to 89, nine years inclusive, the Leafs picked 6th overall, 3rd, 7th, 4th, 1st, 6th, 7th, 6th & 3rd overall. Not three 1st's I'll give you that, but that's some good players picked and they still not so much as made a Cup final appearance.

by far the most hated teams (in no order): habs, leafs, canucks. Im a leaf fan and I totally get why too. Still, it's fun to be hated....

I never said it's not done, just that it's not done everywhere. And, if the Sedins had gone to FA, you basically just eliminated 8 teams from their list of possible destinations.

The fact is that since they come as a pair it would have been more difficult to find a possible team for them to go to. Not impossible...but definitely more difficult.

people say they are soft because in their first few years they fell down all the time, they battle hard now, torts hints they are the best players he has ever coached. he noted that on the amazing goal they scored, like many they have done before.

Who cares who I cheer for? I was stating fact not fiction. Over the past 45 years the Leafs have had the worst existence due to mismanagement. Bar none! Canucks have also had some bad years, but not to the degree of the Leafs. I can't believe I have to even defend that with you.

I said the Oilers current streak of mismanagement will be as bad as the Leafs of yester-year if they don't make some changes soon. Some guys took offence to that. Why I have no idea because it's absolutely true. Two words - Harold Ballard.

Oilers need to get aggressive and serious about things if they hope to take a step in the right direction. I could care less either way, but it's frustrating to watch them be the second coming of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Well I think they made some massive changes In The off season...but I do agree overall they need to make some changes in the top 6 forwards. Problem is no cap space limits them to trades, it's not the Hall and Ebs contracts either. There is a little over 10 million tied up in Smyth, Hemmer and N.Schultz that won't be here. Mac T would surely not get a fair return if he made a knee jerk trade to dish off Yak at this point, but trust me, if the right deal came along...Mac T is fully commited to improving this team...but not stupidly.
