(frank) all good dude. I dont take offense to much. You never know whats going on in peoples life and the internet is one of the best places to blow of steam really. Ita one of the few places where most people take it for what it is just somewhere to be whatever you want.

Goaltenders are a little different because there can only be 1 starter on a team.

Was Dwight King in the ECHL because he was unheralded or because there were 30 year old NHL players standing in his way?

I don't recall exactly the circumstances of Dwight King. It's just not uncommon for the Kings to send a prospect to ECHL for a stint. Aside from Quick none of them were exactly thought of as a high-end prospect at the time though. King turned out pretty good, but it wasn't exactly expected. That said the Kings farm team is pretty much devoid of veterans since Lombardi took over. Last 2 or 3 years you'd find one veteran at most, there aren't any 30 year olds playing. So if you end up in the ECHL it just means you're the last in the pecking order at the moment in relation to other prospects.

I agree with Matt. We have all of this "young depth" that is losing ice team in our "developmental system" to veteran defensemen that are just fillers.

Either develop them or trade them - either way it's gonna help them and us, but the present method isn't doing anybody any favors.
