He got arrested for beating and kidnapping his GF (Or wife, I'm not sure). - RogerRoeper
WTF?!?!?!?

Edit: Is this bizarro world? Like wtf?
"The guys wanted to do well for (Varlamov). They wanted to play a strong game in front of him and I thought that was a great game from our team," Avalanche coach Patrick Roy said.
I wouldn't even want this guy on my team anymore.... |

2 games. what a joke. - Doug1967
Leafs fans aren't happy either.
I wanted Ashton out of the lineup longer.
Shoulda kept Colborne instead. |

The NHL needs to hire a crisis management communications consultant.
Everything they have done on this file has been wrong. |

Considering Roy was accused of domestic abuse years ago in Colorado (turns out he ripped apart a doorframe in his house, iirc - the whole thing was dropped) you'd think they would tread a little more lightly.
Varlamov should not be in the lineup right now. |

If you are collecting $2 million a year from your daddy's labels company, why are you sneaking into a neighbourhood forested park to drink purple Jesuses in the middle of the day?
Is he 16 years old? |

That isn't the point however...we're talking about that bullpoop he had the media eating out of his hand over. |

Good read. Just noticed French's OHL blog. Let's see if he mentioned these guys. NM, his was about future draft eligible twats. Something the Sabres and Oiler fans would love to read. |

The media was not eating-that-up at all. They were attacking him non-stop over the Kessel trade. |

We're not talking about the Kessel trade at all. It was the constant talk about how "A free agent out of college is basically a free first round pick but more developed." That was a bullpoop lie.
I like a lot of things Burke did.
I dislike many as well.
That was one of the things I disliked. His narcissism in front of the cameras. Every year 10-20 guys are signed as free agents out of Europe or College, only Burke declared them superstars and top prospects instead of the longshots they are. |

The media didn't buy it though.
In the end, actions are louder than words, and Burke did a very good job.
