Could u imagine what the current 6-0 score would be if Ovie was playing tonight vs the Flyers? Aswell I would have erased the 30 point lead my opponent has on me in the HBSL. |

Can you just imagine the piece-of-poop Hongcouver fans trolling us if we tarded (not a typo) Kadri for Luongo. - Aetherial
Kadri +.
Oh, God, no. That's the type of that makes you wake up in the middle of night with cold sweats.
What's worse is thinking about the cap implications even if we got him for cheap (Scrivens + 2nd was tossed around at the deadline).
No Bernier. No Clarkson. Signing Kessel's deal becomes a very difficult proposition... etc. |

Who cares? Leafs have 2 lines that don't need him at all. - weirdoh
This. Does he bump Kadri?
Does he provide more than 2 million dollars in value than Bolland?
Hell, even Bozak comes in cheaper and he actually possesses skills that make him valuable as a third liner.
Grabo can enjoy his superficial successes in Washington as they fight to get back up to .500. |

I really like a lot of what Nonis has done for us so far, but does anyone else think less highly of him knowing how hard he pushed for Luongo?
That's a serious lapse in judgment. Had he done it, he should have been fired.
Word is that Burke's team (Nonis, Fletcher, Poulin) had a deal lined up for Luongo before Burke was fired. Speculation is that it involved Kadri and/or Gardiner. Burke vetoed it.
I'm just not sure why Nonis felt at any given time that Luongo had any value. That he was STILL pushing for Luongo while Scrivens and Reimer were playing some unreal hockey blows my mind. - Leeman4Gilmour
I thought this was all-but debunked? Lombardi and Nonis have said Nonis was working a Bernier deal the day he was named GM. The 'rumor' was that Gillis offered Lou to Nonis for Scrivins and a pick and Nonis still said get lost. John Shannon says it was BB that was pushing for Lou but still balked at including a Kadri or a Gardiner. |

Poll Question of the night?
If Ottawa wins despite getting significantly outshot tonight (currently 43-18 NYI)
Will they?:
A give up the 2 points
B quietly take the 2 points
C give up on Corsi |

i think the fact that he was working on a deal for bernier is more proof that he was working on a deal for luongo... you are allowed to have more than one deal on the go at once |

because they believe so deeply in Corsi, they will forfeit the game result should they lose. |

the fact that no deal transpired.. means Nonis wouldn't pay what Gillis was asking.
we know what Nonis was willing to deal for Bernier.
I don't think you can criticize Nonis for a deal he "didn't make". |
