Hey I'd take him on the Marlies no question. Guy is talented. Needs to adjust his game like a lot of young guys. Though I like that their coach and coaches like now TB Jon Cooper loved playing the young guys and letting them make mistakes over trying to field the best 29 year old AHL squad. Anaheim's AHL affiliate does this as well. Wish the Leafs did, under Eakins he did shape Kadri, but (frank), 80% of the prospects were benched for AHL lifers.

I also think he acted the way he did to draw attention away from our young players and on to himself. He'd make it about himself and the media not his players and the media and most people didn't see that.

Not sure what's wrong with appreciating what he did, but being glad he's gone because you didn't like his style and think his replacement is just as capable.

There are underlying issues with someone being fired over his personality rather than his workmanship. Komarov is a sh!thead but should we be glad he's gone? And Nonis is good, but a Burke/Nonis tandem was much better.

as for the leafs...get one more win to put the exclamation point on this trip after winning a game vs. CGY they didn't necessarily deserve to win(that was us just two years ago...). If we show we can beat a team that has legitimate skill and goaltending then we know that 5 day break will feel even better.
